at the capitol, the 20-16 underway, and state lawmakers are getting ready for a fight over education funding. funding.governor branstad will unveil his budget tomomorrowow he's expected to seek a two- point-four-five percent increase in state aid for schools.that's less than senate democrats want to spend and more than house republicans have previously sought.at the end of the last session, governor branstad used a line-item veto to cut a one-time expenditure of 55-point-seven million dollars in supplemental aid for iowa school districts. school funding will be one of many topics outlined in the governor's condition of the state address.it's expected to begin tomorrow morning at 10 and you can watch it live on

in dubuque dubuquepolice say a woman used a baseball bat to kill her ex-husband. husband.62-year-old dolores flynn was taken into custody this afternoon.she's charged with second degree murder for the death of 72-year-old gary breckenridge.investigators say flynn allegedly admitted to famimi members that she attacked breckenridge on january 4th.if convicted, she could face up to 50 years in prison. the cedar rapids police
