less than two weeks away now from the highly anticipated iowa caucuses, caucuses,democratic candidate hillary clinton is bringing another celebrity to the hawkeye state. state.demi lovato will be with clinton on multiple campaign stops today -- including in vinton and iowa city.this summer -- katy perry shared a des moines stage with clinton, just a few weeks ago -- h-b-o star lena dunham made a visit to iowa city for the campaign. this morning we're looking at new poll numbers that suggest clinton's main rival, bernie sanders, would actually out- perform her in a general election. election.the new c-n-n poll surveyed likely general election voters, it shows sanders with a double digit lead over many g-o-p candidates, like donald trump, ted cruz and marco rubio.but the same survery showed clinton in tight races with most candidates. her biggest lead is against trump, with a nine point advantage. and soon we'll begin to find out which candidates will emerge as their party's favorite's to be on the presidential ticket this november. november.it all starts here

the iowa state campus.police now say 23-year-old benjamin clague was driving the campus bus that hit jacobs and left the scene. he is being held in the story county jail. iowa city police are now looking into links linksbetween a bomb threat at west high and similar threats made in other states.the school was evacuated tuesday morning after someone called in the threat.school officials told investigators the caller's voice sounded robotic. investigators searched the building and found nothing -- and similar calls were made in at least seven other states. new developments from the twin cities. cities.a saint paul police officer is now apologizing for a facebook page he made earlier this week... urging drivers to run over protesters who rallied on martin luther king junior day.sargeant jeff rothecker says he is extremely sorry and that he understands the post was insensitive and wrong.the black lives matter group was protesting the police killings of two black men last year.the department has put the officer on leave while they investigate.

recent study found that over 40% of all energy drink-related calls to poison control centers in the u-s were for kids under 6 - many of them suffering serious nervous system and heart symptoms.(dr. jennifer shu, pediatrician) a can or a bottle of an energy drink could have as much as 500mg of caffeine which is equal to about 14 cans of soda. so way higher than you'd want a child to have. sometimes these drinks aren't labeled well, so you don't see what the ingredients can be, including the high amounts of caffeine, and a the child may think it's the same as any type of soda or juice that their parents might be ok with giving them. shu says the dangers of overconsumption for kids, and even adults varies from the minor...(dr. jennifer shu, pediatrician) as simple as headaches or some shakiness or jitteriness but they could even be more serious like problems with your heart rhythym, where your heart is irregular, it beats too fast or even seizures.the risks are particularly high, she says, for kids who already take stimulant medications for things like a-d-h-d, and older kids who may mix the energy drinks with alcohol.but it's not just the caffeine and other stimulants raising concerns... the drinks are also often filled with sugar. (dr. jennifer shu, pediatrician) too much of that sugar can cause weight gain as well as cavities.in general, shu says -- it's best to keep
