eastern iowa overnight. i thi we'll see around a an inch or less. but we'll keep the winter weather alerts for northwestern counties. the winds died down just a little bit this evening but fog has developed. reduced visisilities in our southern counties. fog advisory in effect until midnight. tomorrow expect rain and snow in the moing hours. temperatures falling into the mid to low 20s by the afternoon with cloudy skies and gusty winds up to 30 miles per hour tomorrow. scott and karen. right now crews are still clearing roadways across the state.

approved a 4 point $7 million bobo measure there. voters opposed the 47-million dollar plan. w tonight at 10 - linda langston is not seeking another term on the linn county board of supervisors. she's served on the board for nearly 14-years.langston tells cbs 2 news she hopes to continue work to improve public health and mental healththservices. cbs 2 news has the latest information on the sexual assault case against bill cosby. cosby.the comedian appeared in a pennsylvania courtroom today. his attorneys ked the judge to throw out the charges against him. him.cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting former temple university employee andrea constand at his home in 2004. his attorneys say constand was a willing participant.she settled a civil lawsuit

convicted, the comedian could spend up to ten yes behind bars, he's free tonight on one million dollars bail. cbs 2 news continues to track the latest developments in the flint michigan water crisis. the f-b-i is now helping with the investigigion into the crisis.the agency is looking at evidence to see if any of it can be used in a potential criminal case.as you'll recall flint's drinking water was contntinated o years ago, when the city's water supply was changed to save money.the city now says it will replace all 15-thousand lead-based wawar pipes, which could take nearly 15-years to finish. cbs 2 news if following the latest debate over the johnson county minimum ge hike. last year, the county ordered that the minimum wage be increased to 10-10 an hour. that jump from 7-25 is being phased in over several months. but after the first increase

now ten at ten continues with a look at tonight's other stories across the corridor. a new w deo released by the university of iowa is giving us our first look at how tumors rm.the video shows breast cancer cells capturing and pulling healthy cells, eventually forming a tumor. researchers sya it takes only five-percent of cancerous cells in the body to form.the new information proves cancer cells don't just passively stick to others, they actively recruit other cells. in north liberty right now, authorities are still trying to figure out what sparked a fire on north george street. the fire deptartment tells cbs 2 news, crews were called out at about one this afternoon. afternoon.a city worker had spotted a fire in a detached

weather that's where they started seeing around 5 to 6 inches. and here as a look. near mason city, 8 inches of snow came in. towards cedar rapids we saw just about an inch of snow. but if you look down toward the uth western part ofhe state, you can see some purple. that's where they saw around a foot or more of snow. in fact snow stiti falling. we can see the light snow showers moving eastward and into

some light snow and rain in the waterloo area andnd des moines as well. cedar rapids is seeing light rain. the rest of us seeing light snow showers. otherwise we're seeing clouds and fog. the road conditions have improved since this morning. off to our west still some travel not advised. but these road conditions could get worse jooefr night. we'll continue to see snow in the northwestern counties. we'll update you in the morning about road conditions. now we do still have winter weather through tomorrow morning. winter storm warning in effect for northwestern counties. north eastern you have a winter

temperatures are in the 30s across the board. 33 in waterloo. winds have died down from the east which means we have seen fog develop this evening. reduced visibility in cedar rapids and iowa city. we have a dense fog advisory south of interstate 80. the winds will pick up after midnight. that's when we can see more rain and snow move into the corridor before tomorrow morning. you can see a lot of the rain and snow has already moved toward the chicago area and off far to our east. that's what's bringing us the light snow and rain showers this evening. you can see light snow flurries moving through eastern iowa and

that rain will turn to snow overnight into t t tomorrow morning. around an inch or two in our northwestern counties. by 11 o'clock that system will move out and make way for clouds and gusty winds around 30 miles an hour. we could see blowing snow on the roadways as well. tonight clouds with fog and a ntery mix. temperatures will stay in the 20s tomorrow. we'll see a cloudy and windy day and we'll see temperatures warm up the next couple of days. 30 on friday and close to 40 for super bowl sunday. more snow on monday and drops temperaturing into the teens on tuesday. next on cbs 2 news why some

only four delegates separate clinton and sanders. o'malley dropped out of the race. in the republican caucus, ted cruz heads to new hampshire as the vik vor over donald trump. asasf r rht now, mike huckabee is the only gop hopeful to end his run. ted cruz is doing damage control. they sent out an e-mail to push saying his team should have clarified that carson is *not dropping out of the race. doctor carson is calling on cruz to fire those responsible. $& the caucus results are final but the delegates who will eventually cast their votes at the national conventions are not. not.iowa's first in the nation caucus is only the beginning

there you have a county convention you have a district conventntn, and the same basisiidea for the democrats. you have to go through this process where the individual people are not selected yet. while both parties already have some party delegates set in stone others will rise all the way up from their caucus night precincts.for them there is still a long road ahead, but for the rest of us politics is on pause for now. very excited my home phone will no loloer be blown up so that good news for me. me.the ads and the phone calls and the flyers there just useless. useless.folks in the next states can deal with h that. from here on out the caucuses and primaries in other states
