board members have been talking about a solution for the last year. one says this decision benefits the entire county and state. >> our number one resource in iowa is the topsoil and a lot of it's flowing away. >> reporter: the johnson county board is not changes ordinances. the regulations are staying the same but they're expanding the importance of maintaining sensitive areas. >> in most of iowa last summer, you couldn't swim in any body of water whether it was a lake, stream, river. they were all contaminated and that's a pretty scary thought. the county says the ordinance will apply to all developments--including sub- divisions of three lots or less. cbs 2 news ten at ten continues now with new developments in the case against the owner of mid-a-mar foods. foods.supporters of the company's former owner are asking a judge to spare him prison time. time.william aossey junior is currently behind bars.in july, jury convicted him of making false statements and wire fire. fire.authorities say aossey directed employees to falsify packaging lables so midamar could ship beef to malaysiaia and indonesia.those countries

since then all three universities have joined forces to support the event. happening right now, the university of iowa's aual dance marathon is in full swing. it's a lifesaver for many families. dora miller is on campus now with more. >> reporter: so many families special kids wewealked to beforehandnd- a brave boy named vincent. at the end of 2013, vincent's family was dealt an unexpected hand. they were told their son had brain cancer. so all of 2014 and some of 2015 was spent getting treatment. vincent's family says without dance marathon, they wouldn't be able to celebrate his first year treatment free!they say the best part of the organization is feeling like they belong. "dance marathon is a great opportunity for us to be a part of a group that cares about treating us like a noal mily, which a lot of
