school districts daily schedule. the move will adjust when secondary students and elementary students start they dayment the move will save the district money. a iowa county high school is getting in the prom spirit early this year. english valley high school will be selling gently used formal gowns. will be donated to help provide activities for students after prom.the event will be held in the school gymnasium from two to five saturday afternoon. a north liberty restaurant raised 450-dollars for a blind man who lost his service dog. cbs 2 news first told you about todd bevans and his service dog arvo lasasmonth. sadly, arvo recently died of cancer.the owner of the blue bird cafe donated ten-percent of allales yesterday to help buy a new dog for todd. bevans also has a go-fund--me page set up. up.we've place that information on our website, cbs 2 iowa dot com.

at five. the clouds stuck around all day and they'll stick around tonight.. so will the cold. temperatures will continue to fall into the single digits tonight with wind chills as low as -10. temperatures will stay cold over the next couple of)days as clipper systems move through the midwest. a weak system will move in on frfray, bringing a few flurriri... generally a dusting across eastern iowa... but will usher in another shot of cold air. high pressure >>reporter: we have a lot of cold to deal with. the ice is a good way to tell how the winter has been. last yeaeathe lake was 80% thick. it's only 10% thick now. we are holding at 13 degrees from our temperatures. the skies are cloudy and wind is coming out of the north at 12 miles per hour.

a clipper went through the sosohwest parts of the state. it produced 2 inches of snow in des moines. you can see the cold aiailocked into northeastern iowa with a high of 10 degrees. southwest and northeast winds today. the clouds are starting to thin t. tomomoow morning the clouds are expected to thin out. however with the cold northwest flow temperatures will replain below normal. we'll haveve blast of cold tomorrow night. a clipper enters the midwest on sunday. that could produce several inches. as far as temperatures go now it's down to 5 in charleston. the warmer air still let the record reflects in washington where you enjoy a temperature of 18 degrees. here is the storm track tonight.

southeast. the clipper moving threw with it's snow. this comes through her tomorrow night and early on it day on friday. a stronger system in the pacific northwest. a better chance for snow on sunday. our models indicate the low will go to the southwest of us and this is the area we'll see heheier snow. one of our models is showing 2- inch os snow in cedar rapids. another model is showing up to 7 inches. we are gettinga good indication there will be snow but i believe some areas could see 2 to 4 inches before that system moves out sunday night. on our predicter you can see hothe clouds move ououat midnight. tomorrow morning we get up to sunshine. we'll keep that around for late
