end of the week. cbs 2 is tracking the latest details this morning on a few tall shooting in cedar rapids. >> police were called to the scene latee last night. that's where we find stephanie johnson. she's been live all morning long. what is going on now? >>reporter: i'm standing across the street from the live investigation. police are still outside. police tape is blocking the area where the scene happened. cedar rapids police did confirm with us last night that two people were shot at the cedar valley townhouses apartment complex on j street? southwest cedar rapids. we haven't been able to confirm their conditions at this point, but our crew on the scene last night did see a body bag in the area where officers are investigating is. there's no information as to what led to the shooting. i did speak to a neighbor earlier this morning. he said this type of incident is not normal here in this complex. i'll have more information

video-taped multiple women. women.robert hightower is now facing charges of invasion of privacy, trespass and assaulting an officer.he was arrested for video-taping a woman showering on february 15-th. th.police say hightower video-taped two more women in burge hall on the 12-th and the 13-th.investigators found those additional videos on his cell phone. they say he also admitted to recording them without their consent. at the university of iowa, the very first town hall meeting for president bruce harreld got heated within the first 20 minutes.take a look. look.why did you insult him? make the university the best it can be.he says was hired to do a job and he will complete it. harreld 05:41:12 "i hope people actually looking at that data, seeing what it means to them and start to have a conversation about what we should do about it." it."harreld has only served 120 days as the university's president.he says he plans to hold town hall meetings like this three times a year. an update to a story we first broke to you right here on cbs 2 this morning. morning.police in phoenix say a 26-year-old shot and killed his parents and two sisters during a house fire. fire.authorities did say the gunman, alex buckner, had a history of drug abuse, but that the shooting was out of character.the gun used in the crime was owned by buckners father.all of his family members suffered gunshot wounds but a medical examiner will determine the cause of death.officers dodged bullets and wore breathing gear to enter the burning home to try and help the victims, all while the shooter was still alive. the gunman was later killed by police.

in the weekend shooting spree, police say was all committed by an uber driver. driver.there are new surveliiance photos of the accused shooter, jason dalton at a gun store the day of the shooting rampage.the owner of the gun shop said he bought a jacket on saturday with a pocket on the inside specifically designed for a handgun.the owner adds he's sold rifles to dalton in the past but does not know if he's ever sold him a hand-gun. authorities believe a semi- automatic handgun was used in the killings. states in the south are now in clean-up mode after deadly storms hit the region. region.several tornadoes touched-down throughout tuesday in southern louisiana and mississippi -- killing at least three people.two of those deaths happened when one of the twisters slammed into an r-v park.at least 30 people were hurt -- several of them are in critical condition. another tornado also hit pensacola, florida along the panhandle.there are many reports of property damage and several people were hurt in the storm that left thousands

2 news, iowans for gun safety said quote "tuesday's debatat in t t iowa house emonstrated clearly that the gun lobby and their supporters in iowa are not concerned at all about gun safety, but only about their extremist views of gun rights." researchers from the university of iowa college of public health healthlaunched a new website to reduce bullying. it gives teahcers new ideas to use in the classroom to prevent bullying when tradional methods don't always work. researchers say by channeling energy into positive experiences -- students can learn how to work with others. the toolkit has many activities at no cost.
