flash flooding across eastern iowa early this morning. >> with whites it has been it is the day lot of flash flooding and a lot of damage in sandbagging and right now in cedar rapids sunshine. before we get into our flood coverage, cedar rapids, 9/tenths of an inch. dubuque 14/107-inch. waterloo 1/10th to 1/4 of an inch of. >> then you go up to northeast iowa where they have had upwards of eight inches of rain recorded just below 8.5 and okoro. we're seeing sunshine in parts of the area and have a break and doppler radar it is clear but we still have flooding concerns even the rain has stopped. there are no longer flash flooding warnings in effect but they continue howard and when

so we still have concerns on the roadways because water continues to rise. fayette county hasn't wednesday but their service is extending it until tomorrow at 11:30 as well. we do have concerns of flooding even though the rain has stopped because there has been a lot of rain that is fall and pick. >> a lot of these issues in pecora, these are some samples anywhere from two to eight inches of ball and here are some of the reports we have been watching. major flooding in freeport and they're continuing to sandbag and walk coma. check and county underwater and restricted travel to parts of north east river. one of the rivers is the turkey river in seville vail currently at 20 feet. the flood stage is nine feet.

this is the highest it's been since 1993. currently 19.9 feet in the upper iowa river in decorah at 13- point two feet. these are levels we have not seen in a long time. it did not take a long time to get there. the rain fell late. the water has been rising steadily and we have had these rain fall reports from over 3.5 inches up to almost 8.5 inches in for a. if you're precautions and take alternate routes and never drive through flooded roads. we will take a look at what is ahead and flash flood watches for southern iowa and we have that for you in about 10 minutes time. parts of northeast iowa still underwater after the heavy rainfall lead to flash
