area. >> that's after a funnel crowd dropped out of the sky: let's go straight to rebecca for the latest information. >> there was a tornado warning for lynn county after there was a touchdown confirmed of a tornado near troy mills and that's in extreme northern part of the county, and it was a pretty rare situation in which the at moss fear didn't really support funnel clouds developing or then touching down. this is a photo from the sheriff's office looking the funnel cloud that didn't touchdown and it was weak and was likely not on the ground for any longer than maybe 60 seconds, and no damage was reported. once again a rare situation, and the reason why you heard those sirens if you heards area or if you were in cedar rapid, they do not have the ability to segment. if any part of the county is in a warning, everybody will tear siren. >> we do have some showers on

the latest in the weather forecast. >> definitely a nice day to be by the pool, and all the heat and humidity led to showers and thunderstorms. there was enough instability that triggered the storms and we had them south of highway 30. we did have a couple that creeped to the north including northern lynn county that led to aitor any doe warning that was likely just a very brief touchdown there and incident but we do still have some showers on going and even thunderstorms in portions of western washington county and eastern -- county to southeast of locally heavy rain and a cup of streaks of lightning there but it is starting to fall apart and we will start to dry out through the night tonight. but we are left with the warm and muggy feeling out there. temperatures right now still in the 70s. still 5-degrees in charles city
