some scattered thundershowers not out of the question. we'll talk about what's ahead for the rest of the week in that forecast coming up in about 10 minutes time. one person hit by a train this morning. cbs 2 news reporter stephanie johnson is live right now with the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: train service has resumed now but earlier today people from the train company as well as the sheriffs department were out incident. the incident took place around 8:00 a.m. this morning just west. the train involved was a union pacific train. the pacific spokesperson tells us it was carrying goods from chicago and heading to portland. train service has resumed. the sheriff in this county does not know why the person was on the tracks or how they got on the tracks for that. we will have that information

stephanie johnson, cbs 2 news. new at noon, one person now recovering after a crash this morning in cedar rapids. police tell cbs 2 news, a 19-year-old woman ran a red light on sixth street and hit a pickup truck driving on first avenue. the truck flipped over and landed partially on top of the light, and violating the rules of driving with a learner's permit. a police officer in winterset, no one else was hurt. the driver of the car was violating the rules of driving with a learners permit. when the drunk driver was driving about 60 miles per hour down the wrong side of the road.on the dash cam video, you can see the headlights getting brighter before the officer swerves onto the shoulder to avoid the head-on crash.the officer was able to catch up with the driver and stop him. smokers in johnson county may soon need to be more morecareful where they light up.a policy that is currently in effect in north liberty and
