conditions with 81 our temperature. the dew point is down to 64. that is a big drop from yesterday. the wind is out of the northwest at six miles per hour. the rain came down last night. here's a sampling of the totals. in southwestern cedar rapids reports came in of over three inches of rain. you can see many parts of eastern looking at three inches. maybe a little bit northeast of there. the rain clouds are gone. another weather system is getting set to roll in from the southwest is that comes towards us and clout to be on the increase and it will bring thunderstorms later tomorrow afternoon and evening.

it was cool in the north with temperatures in the 70s but further to the south it got warmer and iowa city made it to 85. our current readings are showing 80s for cedar rapids and points to the south and holding in the upper 70s in the northeast. here is the dew points. it is not good in the south with upper 60s in the southern in the next 24 hours leaving the chance for under storms. the disturbance has tropical moisture. this is what is left of newton. it is moving toward us. these will consolidate around the midwest in the next 24 hours and we will develop low- pressure across iowa and wisconsin.

shows the rainfall totals not overly bad over much of eastern iowa but in eastern iowa they might go up. there is the moisture from newton to the south and the other area. as far as temperatures tomorrow, readings will be back in the upper 70s too low 80s and the dew points will start to climb an afternoon. the forecast for tonight is generally around 65 degrees across the area and cause will be building. tomorrow will be mostly cloudy conditions with scattered showers and storms in the late afternoon. it is warmest in the southern counties. as the rain is moving out by saturday it will be a cold day
