america continue to recover and come >> 15 years later how families, friends and the rest of america continued to recover and come together to honor those lost in the tragedy that reshape our nation. good evening today the nation pauses to remember the 3000 people who died in the worst terrorist attack in american history. >> in new york memorial services honor the victims who lost their lives 15 years ago this morning. the name of every person who died when planes hit the towers was red and echoed across the fountains. at the pentagon president obama spoke at a ceremony for the 184 people who lost their lives when a plane hit there. people gathered in pennsylvania where flight 93 crashed when passengers fought back to save the lives of others. >> here in the corridor people of different faiths can together to honor and pray for the souls lost to care 15 years ago.

>> at a gathering in cedar rapids this is a logical fear of terrorism has created an irrational fear of things we do sunday night saint stephens lutheran church opened their house of worship to every belief to remember a pain share by all. all.the inter religious council of linn county reached out to their communities to unite as one for a night of reflection.organizers planned for about 50 people but more than double that filled the church pews.there were christians, jews, muslims, bahai and native tribes.imam hassan salim says it is important for members of every faith to come together and continue building bridges to create communities built on love not hate. the terrorist attacks. some even stay after class to ask questions. >> as mentioned the president as well as presidential candidates attended ceremonies honoring the victims of the terrorist attacks. resident obama spoke tilling the crowd americans need to work together to defeat hatred. >> we remember and we will never forget the nearly 3000 beautiful lives taken from a so cruelly. including 184 children here. the youngest three years old. >> hillary clinton attended the ceremony at ground zero in new york but became ill and left early. video shows her stumbling to get into her band. some reports indicate she fainted. quentin went to rest at her daughter's apartment nearby.

clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia and given antibiotics and told to rest. her doctor says clinton became hydrated -- dehydrated. she is now recovering but she has canceled her plans to travel to california. as you can see donald trump also attended ground zero today - to honor the 15th anniversary of the attacks. trump also left the ceremony - before it concluded. ou to connect the presidential candidates to our viewers to better inform and empower you. we have reached out to the candidates to participate in extended interviews not only with our station but our sister stations across the coun. country.we want to hear from you. tell us what you want to know from the candidates. please share your thoughts

nathan's wet. he is from a married area and enrolled at the university of northern iowa. if you saw something related to this incident or have any information you need to call 356 356-6020. >> iowa city police also asking people because of a shooting. witnesses reported a person with a handgun. officers later arrested after that a person showed up at the emergency room with a gunshot wound. still a lot of unanswered questions but the shooting victim is expected to survive. >> we continue now with the corridor top stories. the va estimates 20 veterans commit suicide every day. today people gathered in logan to honor one of them. sergeant.

some warmer air tomorrow. as we head into the afternoon around-the-clock we have sustained winds of 10 to 20 miles an hour. we could have higher gusts of 25 miles per hour in the afternoon. all of that will be bringing in some warmer and more humid air. the storm system is starting to unfold in the northwestern part of the united states and is moving further to the south and closer to our air later this week. for right now it's been nice and calm because of high pressure for several days and led to this beautiful weekend that we had. we will start to see changes. high pressure located to the south and east. as will be picking up through the south for today and tomorrow. we will stay dry but it will be more humid. when the right moves through there will be some rain on tuesday. imagine the

that's because our dew points have been in the comfortable range in the 50 degree mark. on the sticky scale that's very nice. of course the dew points will be going back up but now we are 10 days away from false starting. we won't be seeing any thing in the oppressive range. we will feel stickier on tuesday and on friday. those are the days we will see the highest chance for showers and storms. going to be as high in the wisher levels will not be as high not anticipating the rainfall totals to be as high. right now models are indicating about an inch to an inch and a half aerial ride -- areawide. we need to dry out after

polls, well then they don't get to go debate.but let's take it back to the old schoola& because it wasn't always like this, cpd used to convene a panel of experts to determine who got to debate and who didn't. in '92 that panel let third party candidate ross perot debate. but in 2000 to make it clearer they implemented the system we have today-a system which hasn't let a third party candidate debate. so it's clearer but is it fair?well the cpd says it is because they say it only allows serious candidates to debate. set the standard at 15 percent and not 5 percent which would allow gary johnson to debate. but in the end thems the rules and whether mitt romney or 50 percent of voters want gary johnson on that stage unless he gets to 15 percent he's not going to be there.from washington, i'm raffi
