month - t-c-r announced they cast an actor who can hear - to play a deaf character in their upcoming play tribes.the decision sparked outrage in the deaf community.the theatre says - they were limited by who auditioned - but they could have done more to find deaf talent. talent. today - theatre cedar rapids hears the local deaf community loud and clear. t-c-r recently cast an actor who can hear - to portray a deaf character named billy in the upcoming play tribes. 082904 theres only five weeks left, im not sure we have the ability to work together. the deaf community wants t-c-r to recast the the role of billy with a deaf actor right now- or post pone the play so they can all work together for a representative cast. 083712 if you postpone this show and you recast, the deaf community will love you for it. they will attend your shows. this is a long term solution. if you dont do it, no they will never come. they wont. ifthat's the path tcr takes- deaf advocate carly armour says they'll respond. 094937

chew up the last of the sprinkles and bring clearing skies. the weather will be in the 70s tomorrow. >> cbs 2 news has learned the name of the man shot and killed by two cedar rapids police officers. the pair responded to a domestic dispute at the valley high apartments on edgewood road last night. that is where officers found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. they believe markell bevins was this stabbing suspect. two officers shot bevans but their names have not been released. bevans was taken to a local hospital where he died overnight. the victim is expected to recover. >> day two of the murder trial for david miller against tomorrow morning. miller is accused for stabbing and straggling sabrina hustad janish.

what led to miller's arrest. a trooper testified that miller was waving down cars on the highway where nothing but his underwear and covered in scratches of blood. authorities say he masked a description of a carthy. when they pulled up they said miller was able to communicate despite his condition. >> the original concern was somewhat having an agitated event but him being able to respond to my questions appropriately, concerned out pretty quick. he was able to articulate a statement to meet. >> miller claims he had been laying an outdoor game with friends and that's how he got the injuries. he is charged with first-degree murder and theft of vehicle. tomorrow the juror will hear from crime scene investigators. >> donald trump return to iowa today. >> we have team coverage beginning with kevin bury who travel to the morning for

winds are 6 miles per hour. the dew point has been slowly falling. it's now at 61. tomorrow afternoon you will be in the 50s meaning much drier air will be selling into eastern iowa. his look at our current temperatures. we have upper 50s in the northwest otherwise low to midshipman 60s around the rest of the area. the warmest temperatures are where the clouds are thicker in the south. still 66 degrees in iowa city. now as we go to our satellite you can see a slow-moving front has advanced through eastern iowa. tonight the heavier showers and storms are well down to the south of us but last night some isolated thunderstorms produce some heavy rain in localized spots special light this especially northwest of cedar rapids. centerpoint had over an inch and you can see other totals around cascade in dubuque. that was localized. in the south

just 1400s of an inch. in a general sense the reins were light around eastern iowa except in that small area. tonight we are looking at if you like returns moving quickly across eastern iowa. some of this is in the clouds. some of the showers down to the south are reaching the ground and are south of interstate 80. if you are done in keokuk and see a quick shower come through but not much more than hitting the pavement then it's all gone and after that the skies will clear by tomorrow morning. out this in our predictor it shows that happening. as the front heads to illinois you can see by tomorrow morning we're seeing clearing in our northern counties. then tomorrow afternoon that dry canadian air will push the clouds down to missouri and extreme southwestern iowa so we will enjoy plenty of sunshine

northeasterly winds the temperatures will state nice and crisp. mr. highs should be in the upper 60s to lower 70s and those dew points will go down as that cool dry canadian air gets established across the midwest. we will see dew points in the low to midshipman 50s . without the humidity we have a few great days coming up for wednesday and thursday. here's our predictor at 8:00. those showers are moving quickly and by six in the morning tomorrow the clearing has reached cedar rapids and after that it continues to move southward and tomorrow afternoon will see plenty of sunshine and very nice weather. tonight forecast calls for if you showers in the far south otherwise the temperatures in the mid-40s in the north and the mid-50s in the south. for tomorrow, everyone gets into some sunshine and nice conditions. upper 60s in the north to around 70 to 72 in our southern
