for now our skies are clear and the temperature is back down to 63 degrees. tonight's winds are coming in from the east at 6 miles per hour. the dew point is down to 56. there is still dry air on the top of us tonight. that's what chewed up the clouds today and brought us these nice temperatures. a lot of places in the eastern iowa were in the low 70s. out to the west of us if you take a trip down interstate interstate 80 there are problems out there. and that's part of the weather system that will move towards us in the next 24 hours. tonight just a few scattered clouds and temperatures are holding up pretty well. upper 50s in the northern western counties in lower 60s elsewhere. 66 reported in iowa city. as you go to our satellite that dry air is holding tough. these clouds have tried to push in here but a lot of those have

thin clouds expected tonight and tomorrow the clouds will thicken up and get into rain tomorrow night. to get that to happen we have to get that high pressure out of the midwest and it looks like it's going to. is starts moving east word. tomorrow as it heads toward lake michigan the winds start to tap into moisture and these showers and storms come into the area tomorrow night then will wait for another round a front comes through on friday. there could be a few periods that we get scattered showers and thunderstorms. we have two models that we look at. they give us how much rain may fall. this shows 57 hundredths of an inch. the other one showing 9300s. if you average it out there could be half to an inch of rain out of the system as it rolls on by. it is a progressive system. it will have good speed to it
