"these 2 buildings will have to have 2 feet of drywall cut out and then we'll check out the floor but we think they're the floors are in pretty good shape so we'll air them out power wash them clean them up and fix them up." up."something that they are really thankful for is that no planned events were disrupted by the flood.they even held 2 weddings on some of the higher ground there. anyone with leftover sandbags from flood protection - listen up.cedar rapids city workers theyve from flood protection, cedar rapids are planning to pick them up for free next week. curbside pickup starts monday and will take two weeks to complete. there is no cost for the pickup. >> governor. terry branstad says federal assistance will be needed . the state can request a federal disaster declaration because a higher than $4.3 million.

the police chief in los angeles - is defending his officers in two separate deadly shootings that happened over the weekend. weekend.l-a-p-d chief charlie beck released new details monday about both shootings.in one -- the 18-year-old who was shot and killed pulled out a gun and pointed it toward officers.in the other shooting -- a man was shot when he turned and pointed what looked like a gun at officers.
