and storms later tonight. we had a cold front that moved through with rain and then we had clouds this morning. now we have clearing skies. there is a storm to the southwest in oklahoma and kansas with energy that will move north. the warm front will lift north overnight bringing a better chance of showers and storms. then that increases as a cold front moves through tomorrow. we will have an increased chance of showers and friday. there were shower activity in eastern iowa and there could be a few isolated showers and possibly a storm near and south of highway 30. much of the activity stays well to the south. we will zoom in on the predictor for tomorrow evening in time out the showers and storms for you coming up in just a bit. as the check village puts

audio ]. well, the weather where jenee ryan is right now looks pretty nice. >> we had showers overnight and the clouds will move back in. it would be calm overnight and then the storms will be in tomorrow night. we have had ups and downs in the weather and then we are going to go down in the way with the temperatures really falling as we head to the weekend. we have had a chance for a few isolated showers, mainly in the southern part of the viewing area. temperatures will cool down and there will be real fall-like weather after a couple of days with temperatures in the 70s which is pretty unusual for october. we had a cold front that moved through and brought showers overnight.

south attached to this front. it is down in parts of kansas and oklahoma and it will move north. that will leave a chance for more unsettled conditions. as we head through tonight, we will have clouds move in and we could have isolated showers or storm mainly south of highway 30. the activity brushes our area to the south and east and i think it will mainly be confined to extreme southern iowa and parts of illinois. we will have more storms coming our way later on tomorrow evening. this front has moved to the south and it will move back for -- back as a warm front. it will trigger showers through the day tomorrow. this area of low pressure and another cold front will move through and it will lead to more sky doing better -- more widely scattered activity through the day on friday. another big area of high pressure is going to move in and cool air is on the way. let's zoom in on the predictor to track though showers and

temperature -- the clouds will be around. after about 6:00, we will see showers and thunderstorms develop and move through the evening hours and into overnight. by the morning commute on friday, we will start to see clear skies and we will start to dry out. the storm prediction center has put out a low risk for the southwestern parts of the area for severe weather. chances are low and i think the main concern will be if you see stor damaging risk. that is mainly in the southwestern parts of the state where we could see stronger storms. for our area, the chances are low. i'm watching for the potential for heavy rainfall. the concern is that if we get an inch or two s. of highway 20 , right now the models have been all over the place with the placement of the rain. we are anticipating 1/2 inch-
