morning rather chilly across eastern iowa. gusty southerly wind. temperatures have climbed into the upper 50s. partly cloudy in cedar rapids. wind out of the south at 15. iowa city, 62. wind out of the south, southeast at 13-21 miles per hour. starting to see clouds build in from the northwest. they will be with us at least for the rest oto 7:00, mostly cloudy conditions. clouds remain with us overnight as well as into tomorrow morning. the temperature trend over the next 12 hours. sixty-six for the high today. temperatures level off tonight into the mid-50s under mostly cloudy, mild and breezy conditions. i will have the friday football forecast coming up. warmer temperatures in store for the weekend coming up in the weather first forecast in a few minutes. the city of cedar rapids is having a series of celebrations is weekend.
