moved back in. investigators charged him with a first -- first degree theft. they believe he used his position to steal, misappropriation or embezzle that money over the time he worked there. students at the university iowa are now being questioned about a reported active shooter on campus. it turned out to be a hoax. officers were called just after 5:00. the universal university received a call saying there was an active shooter and then

university dealt with an actual shooting. gang lou went on a shooting spree in november 1991. he killed four faculty members and a student. lou was upset his dissertation didn't win the same prizes his former roommate won. right now, authorities are investigating another case of arson along the pipeline. authorities say someone set a backhoe fire this weekend. no one was hurt. residents say this kind of pipeline protest is not productive. >> they're just hurting the guy putting it in. >> whoever's doing it, they're not only effecting the progress of this but they're actually on private property when they're doing all their pickets and burning stuff.

iowa city are looking for suspects in two overnight robberies. at 3:21 police were called to the kum and go on riverside drive. the clerk told officers a man wearing a hoodie and bandana showed a gun and demanded cask. nine minutes later, police were called to a second robbery - this one at the kum and go on gilbert street. a clerk there said two men came into the store, showed a gun and demanded money. if you know anything about these crimes, police ask you call them. following a big weekend in the new bohemia and czech village neighborhoods - eastern iowans will now look forward - to help other parts of town. town.on friday - and saturday - big celebrations were held at the newbo city market - and also for businesses that were left unprotected by flood waters.now many businesses - in the kingston, taylor and timecheck neighborhoods hope to see the same enthusiasm in the coming weeks.scott pinter
