concerned about water quality too - but he's convinced improvements can be made without raising the sales tax. right now a new iowa city community school district webpae webpageis up and running - showing new attedance zones and voluntary transfer changes. and the changes - are complicated. first - as the district works to accommodate more students with more schools - district officials decided the best way to go - was change which high sc junior high's would eventually lead to. that upset some older students who would already be in high school when the switch happened. all because their upset student who were already in the school when the switch happens . because the families live in a place not designated to go to the school . to solve that problem, district leaders decided to change their transfer policies to allow some of the students to stay in the school they already attend . >> one of the things the board decided was that given our new

school, that we have room at our secondary schools to allow i was happy they put them out like they did. they were very open about them like they were. i'm also glad that they seemed to have found one now and said, 'this is it. this is the plan we're sticking with.' with.'there are documents - details - maps and an address search to see which elementary- middle and high schools your children are assigned.if you would like to see this information - we have a link to it on our website. a special task force in iowa city is meeting for the second time tonight.members will be talking about the student survey cbs 2 news brought you as a special report last month. students took the survey last semester - telling district leaders what they experience in their school environment. environment.the results showed three focus areas the district is now working on - teacher and mentor relationships - creating a more inclusive community - and a more disciplinary environment.the task force will develop recommendations and give them to the board in december.
