with clear skies and temperatures are certainly cooler. down 16-17 degrees in spots from yesterday. because of that and with clear skies and light wind tonight, we have a frost advisory for the eastern counties. it looks like temperatures should be close to the freezing mark. if you have plants that you want around tomorrow morning, it's a good idea to cover them up or bring them inside. you can see the clear skies that will bring temperatures. i expect the cool air to be around for tomorrow and we warm up for the weekend. you want to stick around for the numbers, they are nice. the iowa board of regents has given the go-ahead for a renovation at kinnick stadium. the north end zone will see a complete make over. there will be more bathrooms, recessions and seating. the project will take a total

operation overnight but this year there have been a few chan. changes.both the volunteers and non-profits agreed to split the overnight event into two work days.six non-profits are participating including metro catholic outreach.the non-profits executive director says she's grateful for geonetric's support. can see that we have fair skies and the sun is fading. temperatures will fall fast as we go through the next couple of hours. we are at 52 for the moment after a high of 53. wind is out of the north/northwest at 12 miles per hour. notice the clear skies off to the northwest. that is a key ingredient in tonight's temperatures. with the clear skies and the light wind, that will allow the temperatures to steadily fall all n we expect to be back around freezing in many locations and that will certainly produce frost. so, the eastern counties are now under a frost advisory. from 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, temperature should be around 30-32 and that will be widespread. it goes back to the west and it has been down in the 20s in this part of the viewing area. there are no frost advisories issued. but all of this region tonight will be around the freezing

here is the high-pressure that has delivered the cool air today. as we go through the nighttime hours, you can see that slowly advancing to the southeast. parked over the top of us, that will bring us wind and a chance for frost. headed back to the southeast on the backside of the high, the wind turns out of the south and that starts a nice warm-up. by sunday we should have temperatures pushing 70 degrees. tonight the model shows 36 and i am personally going about degrees lower than that to about 32. that's the reason for the advisories. going into tomorrow, another cool day with a high of 55. notice that the temperatures are in the 60s and east -- and western iowa. sunday should be the best day with a high of around 70. as far as high school football goes for tomorrow night, it will be good football weather. crisp with the temperature at

here is the forecast through the weekend and into early next week. dry weather is expected an excellent conditions to get out and about and enjoy whatever you are going to do outside this weekend. mostly clear tonight with frost and temperatures range from 30- 35 from north to south. then tomorrow, sunny skies and calm winds leads to a pretty day. temperatures a little below normal from the mid-50s to the upper 50s. 56 rapids. sunday back to 60th -- saturday back to 65 and sunday we shoot for 70. then we should have some rain and the temperatures take a dive and by next wednesday we are down to the mid-50s for the high temperatures. coming up in sports, solving the badger d. that is next on cbs to -- 2.
