forecast.>> right now quiet around the upper midwest and what a weekend of whether we have. we ended up with high temperatures gaf 71 degrees here in cedar rapids and we had wall-to-wall sunshine. it does not get better than that at this time of year. we are at 51 degrees it is come down quite a bit. winds out of the north at 15 miles per hour and despite the fact a friend is moving to detect any precipitation and none of that is expected tonight or tomorrow. possibly late tuesday's when the first raindrops move back into the forecast. with the front coming southward tonight there is a narrow band of clouds. those will come through and should be out of here by tomorrow morning and that is ushering in some cooler air that we will be feeling torpor temperatures tomorrow noon should be 13 of 14 degrees cooler than what we saw today and that will keep a lot of us

current temperatures are no worse than 46 degrees in monticello. 48 dubuque, 50 waterloo, charles city 52. here is what is going to cause issues for us later on this week. the big storm over the western united states that will still be to the west of us tomorrow so out in advance of that we will have plenty of sunshine but it will be cooler and then eventually the clouds coming during the day on tuesday and by tuesday afternoon and night rain expected here in iowa. this is what our model is predicting as far as rainfall is concerned. you will notice the further north you go in our viewing area the better chances are for heavier rain. right now over towards charles city an inch and a half to 2 inches of rain look to be a possibility. that is part of our viewing area that has seen and lot of rain this year. as you go further south the numbers a little bit less but even hair looks like at least .5 to 2 inches of rain so pretty good soaker expected
