the suspect fired at the deputies just moments after they left there squad cars. spent they got out and walked maybe 10 or 15 yards and they came under fire. they were struck. they went down right there.>> the officers returned fire and hit the suspect. he is taken into custody and he is being treated for gunshot wound. the man accused of chaining up a woman in a metal crate for two months is a todd was being interviewed for the kidnapping of caleb brown and he confessed to other cold case murders. lucas and beverly were all killed at the repair shop. they said he was a customer and committed murders. the victim's family say as horrible as this, 13 years later, they are thankful to know what happened.

the officer who shot jerime mitchell during a traffic stop last week was cleared of the officers shot jeremy mitchell last week was cleared of another shooting almost exactly your go.

killed jonathan gossman last october. he was trying to run away and started shooting at the officers. they returned fire hitting gossman. officer jones was cleared of the shooting but is now being investigated by the dci for shooting jeremy mitchell. around 1 am on tuesday, they pulled mitchell over. he said mitchell started fighting with the all officer who shot them. mitchell drove away and hit two cars before being arrested and taken to the hospital. mitchell's family said he is investigators to release the dash cam video that night. the polls will open in 24 hours. if you want to avoid long lines, today is the last day to cast your absentee ballot. if you've not mounted in, you just walk into the auditor's office before the polls close. in cedar rapids you can vote from 8 to 5. according to the press, a local activist
