stephanie? well jenee- i'm at harding middle school and the poll worker inside said the flow is moving pretty easy. and the lines could be short because of early voters voterslinn county reported more than thousand people casted early votes.but in polk county its a different story. the polk county auditor told the des moines register that the lines are pretty long but they're doing their best to contain the lines. lines.but with short lines here in cedar rapids the real question is how will iowans vote in this election? state has been purplebut we won't know any of the results until tonight.in cedar rapids---stephanie

a traffic alert to tell you about in iowa city. city.starting welcome back. 12:12. a traffic alert to tell about. today, starting today, drivers heading toward downtown will have to follow a detour, starting at may flower. at that point, drivers will funnel into one lane, on the right side of dubuque. and that detour is just a little less than a half mile long. and then traffic goes back to normal. no word on how long this detour will remain in place. but if you're heading out now, to iowa city, going to go through that, not really a big

the hour by hour, 60 with sunshine this afternoon. and 53 at 6:00 tonight. look at this, blue skies out there, in cedar rapids. and not much cooking, as we look for just a little bit of a north breeze at 5 to 15. but our temperatures, this is what it feels like, too. 158. and 57 waterloo. and 55 charles city. and right now dubuque, 5. and 61 in monticello. look at the wind. out of the north and west. about 5 to 15 miles an hour. and we take a look at the 56, or 55 for dodge. and 60 des moines. and 62 in burlington. and we will just add a handful of more degrees for us, 60 for us. 61 davenport. and 51 waterloo and upper 50s in dubuque. and lower 60s in western iowa. the morning started with cloud cover and moisture. both of which are gone now. high pressure moves in. and keeps things nice and quiet. there goes the front. here comes the high. and that is going to keep us nice and clear, all the way for the rest of the week. into the weekend. and here is the predictor.
