developing tonight could be a possibility. will talk more about that and the be changed cold weather forecast i had. >> developing tonight cedar rapids police are responding to public demand to release dash cam video of a recent police shooting. the departmental cbs 2 news officer lucas jones pulled over 37-year-old jerime mitchell. they say mitchell started fighting with officer jones who shot him. mitchell drove away hitting two

university of iowa hospital where his family says he remains paralyzed tonight. the crpd says they are following the advice of the linn county attorney's office. not releasing the video because it's part of a dci investigation. officer. jones is still on paid administrative leave. that's protocol for officer involved shootings. this is the second shooting for which officer jones has been investigated. he was cleared in last year's deadly shooting of tonight 10 eight family is demanding answers of the shooting. dora miller has been following this case from the beginning and joins us on the ongoing outcry. >> reporter: every single day for two weeks jerime mitchell support system has been demanding answers. they have been on this corner and across the street asking for the public support.

our satellite we do have a few scattered clouds to the northeast of us. in eastern iowa stars are out. as we go to the nighttime hours the temperatures continue to cool with light winds there will be enough low-level moisture that we could see if you patchy areas of fog. that would be the only issue for the corridor commute tomorrow morning. otherwise temperatures around the region should be around 35 to 36 degrees. the sunshine will emerge through the afternoon. that will warm the temperatures quickly. be in the 60s tomorrow. after the fall threat tonight another sunny, mild day tomorrow. we than have that be changed to colder weather as we get towards the end of the week in a big storm rolls across the midwest. we will talk about that. the timestamp on a graphic shows wednesday at 2:00 the frontal system will be around the midwest. we have high pressure to the east of us.

still in check as we keep our highs in the 60s. eventually the low pressure will deepen and such advance northeast and with strong south winds developing on thursday that's the date that highs have a good chance to reach into the lower 70s and maybe some record highs. notice what's happening on the other side of the front. a lot of snow developing from the dakotas into northwest minnesota. there could be placed in north mies the first winter type storm of the season. we are on the warm side of it on thursday. we will be 72 degrees in cedar rapids and 69 depute. these are the records for the date. it looks like readings should be a few degrees short unless we get a boost of warm air that we're not expecting. but a warm day expected tomorrow and thursday. the next three days temperatures will average 17 to 27 degrees above normal. then our strong cold front
