rapids office pulled jeremy mitchell over on a traffic stop there was some kind of altercation between officer jones and mitchell who was still in his car officer jones then shot mitchell who accelerated away before hitting an unmarked squad car and other is paralyzed from the shooting. shooting.in the days since, mitchell's family and other community leaders have demanded more information from police.but, so far, the linn county attorney and cedar rads unwilling to release the dashcam video of the incident while the investigation continues. so now that a grand jury is analyzing this case here's how that works.much like a trial jury, seven members of the public will be selected at random to serve on the grand ju. jury.?unlike a trial jury, they do ?not have to reach a unanimous decision.if five members agree, they can issue indictments that would lead to a trial for the accused. accused.linn county attorney jerry vander sanden tells cbs
