shopping. thank you for talking with me. i'll talk to some people if line waiting to grab some deals. many corridor retail ares are ready for the holiday shopping rush. this is a live look at lindale mall. they opened last night at 6:00. managers say every store got last-minute shipments for black friday. the mall will reopen in about an hour. several other stores are open right now though. j.c.penney, kohl's and target are all friday. best buy will open at 8:00. in iowa city, the area's chamber of commerce is rewarding shop are for taking their holiday lists to local stores. twelve businesses are participating in the buy here holiday blitz shopping at these businesses and they will earn tickets. they will go into three different drawings and there will be two $500 prize winners in each drawing. we have a complete list of participating stores on our website. are you out shopping this

photos in the fox 28 cbs 2 newscasts. there was an explosion and massive fire at iowa gold. neighbors say they heard a big boom and smaller explosions after that. flames shot into the air and responding fire crews say they could see smoke for miles. but a firefighter went to the hospital for overexertion. a neighbor says she never imagined something like this could happen so close to home. >> it is scary, very scary. we were standing at the back door when some of of the explosions were going off. you could feel the heat just standing over here. it is crazy. it was very scary. i had a major panic attack until i figured out what was going on.
