buss and streets around golden gate park with filled with concert-goers. these happy people are just a fraction of 100,000 concert-goers expected for today's and tomorrow0s concert in golden gate park. they have come from all over the country. many bayar -- bay area residents decided to drive here. traffic slowed to a crawl, especially herement many of these are ticketholders trying to find parking in an area with few available spaces. >> we have had people asking to us park up and down our drip driveway all day along, and you will get towed if you park in a driveway. it's ban problem. >> reporter: this is the third year of the concert. residents tell us the crowds have been manageable. >> not as noisy, not as many people driving up and down the street. probably three times amount the

amount of traffic we normally get. >> it's helped his garage sale. >> everything has been calm. traffic is good. no problems. >> reporter: many of the attendees got the message that parking would be tough. one taxi after another dr. -- dropped off people. riders were warned the concert would affect their travel. >> more people on the buses and more buses. >> muni increased the service by rescheduling drivers, especially after the concert lets out. >> we're going to have to have extra service after the concert. >> reporter: that's good news for this fan. >> after the concert everybody is waiting for public transportation. >> what happened? >> you have all the concert-goers hanging out inside your hallway drinking beer, and it's a nuisance, actually.

>> reporter: muni tells us they hope to have enough buses on hand when the concert ends around 10:00 to get everybody out of the area quickly. live in san francisco, abc-7 news. >> alan: as we mentioned, the other spots you might want to steer clear of is howard street where crews began demolishing the old transbay terminal. leslie brinkley there is with that part of the story. >> reporter: not too much of a mess, although it is causing some congestion and a few people to be a bit confused. crews have started tearing down the old transbay terminal and the ramps that lead to it and lead to interstate 80. of course, as that began, it means that howard street completely shut down. it's going to remain closed until 5:00 a.m. monday morning. so don't be surprised agent as you exit the bay bridge and led to the embarcadero and see all the detour signs. it's inconvenient but necessary

driver who apparently beat another trucker in an incident of road rage. witnesses say attacker was driving a white freightliner with brown striped. seniors and labored advocats held a rally, calling for social security to remain intact. this on the day that president franklin roosevelt signed the social security act into law. rally organizers don't want cuts in social security benefits or an increase in the requirement age to -- retirement age. >> we're here to say we want it for another 75 years. i want it for my grandchildren who are born right after lab you're day. they're going to be triplets and they want their social security 65 years from now. >> alan: organizers released a report. it says that program cuts could harm millions of seniors and hundreds of thousands of

children living with their grandparents who rely on social security as their main source of income. opponents of the ban on same-sex marriage filed their breeze -- briefs at the u ninth circuit court of appeals. the federal judge ruled that prop 8 is unconstitutional but put his ruling on hold until wednesday at 5:00 p.m. who of the appeals judges were appointed be democrats, the other by a republican. if the nine inch circuit court permits gay marriage to resume, the attorneys for prop 8 say they will take their case to the u.s. supreme court. an apple manager is under arrest after being cruised -- accused of accepting more than a million in kickbacks from asian supplies. he is accused of using his position to obtain confidential information from the company and selling it to suppliers, which helped apple negotiate more favorable contracts. apple spokesman steve doweling

issued a statement saying apple is committed to the highest ethical standards and we have zero tolerance for dishonest behavior inside or outside the company. devine is being held by u.s. marshals and is due in a san jose federal court on monday. meg whitman has now crossed the $100 million mark. the billionaire and former ebay c.e.o. has written a $13 million check to her campaign for governor, bringing the total contribution to $104 million. compare that to her democratic opponent, jerry brown, who spent less than $800,000 so far. but keep in mind, brown didn't have to spend much money during the primary campaign because, unlike whitman, he didn't face a serious challenger. brown does have $23 million in the bank, but he is holding on it to until it gets closer to election time. president obama is visiting panama city, florida, with his family this weekend.

the trip is intended to encourage tourism after the gulf coast oil spill that has damaged the region over the past few months. the president promised action for frustrated gulf coast residents who haven't received any money from the $20 million b.p. compensation opportunity. >> i want to be clear about this. any delay by b.p. or those managing the new fund are unseasonable and i will keep pushing to get these claims expedite it. >> alan: the gulf coast is trying've from major drop in summer tourism over concerns over oil and tar balls on beaches. the president plans to go swimming but not in front of temperature -- temperature -- tv cameras. >> strong reaction to the president's comments regarding plans to build a mosque near ground zero. the last u.s. combat brigades coming home from iraq. >> leigh: after some sunshine

today, mainly inland, we're actually starting to see low clouds and fog moving back in towards the coast and bay. towards the coast and bay. it will be caitlin: i was diagnosed with scoliosis. when you're 16, nobody wants to go through back surgery. my doctor has letters and pictures of other kids who've gone through the same thing on his walls and that really helped me not be as scared. i'm not worried about my back anymore.

we have the latest developments. >> reporter: president barack obama may be back pedaling a bit in his support of $100 million islamic community center two blocks from ground zero. >> i was not commenting, and i will not comment on the wisdom of making a decision to put a mosque there. i was commenting very specifically on the right that people have that dates back to our founding. >> reporter: the president is referring to comments he made friday night at the white house dinner. >> i believe that muslims have the right to practice their religion, as everyone else in this country. that includes -- [applause] >> that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower manhattan. >> shame on you! >> it's a disgrace. >> reporter: opponents differ agree. they say it's insensitive to build a mosque in the shadow of the place where nearly 3,000

wikileaks will publish its remaining 15,000 afghan war documents within a month, despite a warning from the u.s. government not do. so the pentagon wants wikileaks to destroy its archives of classified information relating to the agency, and asked wiki leaks leaks to stop dealing with military whistle-blowers. the pentagon says the information will damage security and harm lives. a great white shark encounter, and the surfer who got near it with a ten-foot pole. plus, still waiting for the summer weather. leigh glaser tells us when next. rick: there's a knew leader at the pga championship. and the giants try to close the gap with the padres.

river. more than 1100 people were killed in the landslide. almost 600 people are still missing, and clean drinking water is a major problem. back home, southern california man with nerves of steel took his camera out in the waves and captured some video of a shark. chuck patterson mounted his camera on a ten-foot pole, dipped it in the water, and there's the great white shark. the great white circled him twice, even slapping its tail on his board before moving along. a second short-circumstancinged for 12 minutes. a researcher says it's likely this great white shark was given an electronic tag in month -- monterey, about 400 miles to the north. >> leigh glaser here. still waiting for the warm weather. the fog just lasts longer and takes longer to burn off. >> leigh: we have a couple lows

off the coast, and they will continue to push this further inland, at least tonight and tomorrow, and then by monday and tuesday, temperatures will warm up slightly, at least for the first part of the work week. you can see from this shot that the low clouds and fog starting to move in. of course, all of this strong onshore wind component helping to keep temperatures below where we should be for this time of year. in fact, here's a look at the highs today. typically mid, upper 90s, many even 100 degrees. not so today. antioch 84, concord, 80, 73 in santa rosa, 62 in san francisco. overcast throughout much over -- much of the day. here's a look at some current readings. 9 now in antioch. 63 oakland, 59 with that fog moving in. san francisco. the clouds overnight will also bring in a little more drizzle tonight for the coast and the

bay as well. we will deal with that tomorrow morning, and then look for some afternoon sun inland, and then warmer days ahead monday and tuesday. just a wall of fog sitting off the coast, getting ready to move in through the bay. we have a strong westerly wind and that's going to push this further inland. overnight lows, 50 degrees near the cost, where we see the overcast there and drizzle. further inland, we look for patchy overcast tonight. antioch, 56 degrees. here's a look at our setup. several lows off the coast. these two right here are actually going to merge and move closer to the bay overnight. so, definitely more low clouds and fog overnight tonight. we may get into a little bit of a break monday and tuesday as this ridge of high pressure buildings in, and then this will reenforce everything mid-week and temperatures will come back down. you can see the low clouds and fog tomorrow morning well out towards the coast.

only mid-to-upper 50s there tomorrow, and then we break out into upper 70s inland. here's a look at temperatures across the bay area for sunday. 72 for san jose. cool and drizzly at half moon bay tomorrow. 58 degrees. palo alto, you warm to 69. san francisco, 62 degrees. pretty much an overcast day, maybe a little of afternoon sunshine there 73 for napa. oakland tomorrow, 66. 69 for castro valley. interior east bay, 77 walnut, 82 for brentwood, and 80 tomorrow with afternoon sunshine for gilroy. the seven-day forecast, there's a little bit of a warmup monday and tuesday, inland temperatures in the low 90s, and then the secondary low moves in, really cools us off by thursday and friday. >> alan: we want to take you live outside where we have a picture of a fully involved home

217-yard. it's a hole-in-one. lehman is 1 over for the tournament. if that was the shot of the day, liang had the round of the day. this birdie gives him the course record. he is tied for fourth, 9-under. dustin johnson is making a run as well. he bangs it in. johnson shoots a 67. 10-under. also at 10-under is rory mcilroy, his third on the par-4 18th. he shows some beautiful clutch here. saves par and fires a 67 as well. the leader is nick watney. the norway california native with the birdie on 16. that drops him to 14-under. he finishes at 13-under after a 66. watney now leads by three over johnson and mcilroy. four are tied for fourth at 9-under. tiger is in 31st place at minus-3. phil mickelson is 1-under par.

he's back, jose conseco signed a short-term contract with the loredo broncos. he will serve as the team's bench coach and designated hitter starting on monday. conseco is 46 years old. he last played in the independent golden league in 2006. and that should be good to sell tickets. >> alan: refuses to go away. rick: just likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
