>> you must pay a toll now. >> what's going on? >> bridge cameras snapped the picture of his license plate. that's supposed to happen only if you don't pay. the notice said he owed a $5 toll and a $25 penalty. >> i called, and i'm like, this isn't correct. >> scott called fast track, and it said file an appeal, which he did. scott explained he paid the tolltaker. his wife was a witness in the passenger seat, and his snawrnl was a witness in the car behind. however, fast track didn't believe him. >> nope. we reviewed our documents and our data and you're still in violation. >> as a courtesy however, fast track would forego the penalty if he paid the toll. scott said that would have been easy but dedidn't like being called a toll evader when he wasn't. >> so i called "7 on your side." >> we con contacted fast tract.

the said the system detected an invalid toll tag. but he doesn't have a toll tag and never did. so fast track dug deeper and here's what happened. the system was reading an invalid toll tag from the lane adjacent to scott's called a cross-read, rare glitch but it occurred 35 times on that bridge on that day. so fast track dropped the charge entirely. >> we have dismissed the violation. a little relief when we got this. thank you very much. you guys are wonderful. >> so how can you prove you paid cash if you're mistakenly labeled as a violator? fast track says get a pass and you won't have to worry. scott has a simpler solution. he asks for a receipt. 7 on your side. >> alan: he had just thrown a touchdown pass. moments later, he was dead.

this is my daughter. >> jones says the boys had been teasing hitting, even throwing condoms at his 11-year-old daughter who has sir -- cerebral palsy. the mad dad also threatened the driver. >> [bleep] you up. >> reporter: jones was arrested, charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing a school function. upon release, he stood by his actions. >> my daughter is not going to be beat up and touched and like what they done. >> reporter: jones' attorney says the father has no criminal record and that the bullying was so bad his daughter is on suicide watch. >> this is a new school for her just started middle school. it has been unrelenting torment. >> hundreds of "good morning america" viewers weighed in. the vast majority support this angry dad.
