district. police want prescription drugs to come here instead of ending up out here. >> traditionally, street drug sales have been around the crack cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, some marijuana sales. we're now seeing a real increase in the sale of pharmaceutical pills. >> vicodin, oxycontin and morphine are the prescription drugs of choice on pill hill, the tenderloin. >> selling morphine. >> reporter: police stopped two people. another two got away. these men didn't have any pills on them. but one was still taken away for a probation violation. a sergeant told me more pill-pushers will be back in a matter of minutes. >> that's just from this morning. >> reporter: these drugs will be taken away and burned after today, which is exactly what this woman hopes will happen.

dc next week. there was a strong turnout in san san bruno today for a fan -- fundraiser. people bought t-shirts and enjoyed live music. >> it's not over yet. the devastation is the most horrible thing happened two weeks ago, and these families have to rebuild their lives, and there's a lot of people in the hospital still and people who are mourning the loss of people that passed away. so we're here to remind people it's still happening. >> dan: there was also a dodge ball tournament. an early morning house fire in san jose has left six people without a place to live. the fire was reported just after midnight at a two-story house on newport avenue. the fire started in a shed in the back of the house and spread to the second floor and roof.

it was more than eight months ago when a massive earthquake devastated the capitol, and millions are still living in tents. in the midwest, flood worries are not over despite some dryer weather. while some residents can return to their homes, others their still evacuating. today the cleanup begins. we have a report from wisconsin. >> reporter: this morning, across the upper midwest, drivers plodding through the remnants of war raged with mother nature. the football field was no match for the rushing waters. these cars didn't fare much better. day three of the flooding and several area returns keeping residents at bay. >> started out a foot an hour. so i was in a panic. >> reporter: most evacuees return home and find water

>> dan: today is the annual coastal cleanup day and this was the scene this morning at san francisco's ocean beach. hundreds of volunteers of all ages enjoyed the nice weather and spent it helping out a good cause. they rye moved plastic bags, cigarette butts and other items. more than 800,000 californians have removed more than 14 million pounds of debris from the state shorelines since 1985. today is a "spare the air" day, the seventh this year. air quality officials say smog levels are especially bad in the south bay, but there's no free public transit and no ban on burning wood. frances is back with the forecast. >> frances: they issued a "spare the air" alert for tomorrow. so we have another nice day for us. here's a live shot. looking from towards the northeast, and that's the
