6:18 am
temperatures slowly dropping although we saw plenty of 40s yesterday and plenty of 50s this morning. so starting out warmer 59 oakland, 53 menlo park. fremont 59 for you. concord and fairfield also in the upper 50s. so 24 hours ago we were cooler, retaining some of the heat yesterday and that's reflected in the morning temperatures. 10 degrees warmer this morning in fairfield 5 to 6 degrees warmer in the livermore valley as well as concord. but no change in san francisco, although you will see a similar afternoon today with mild to warm conditions. and then tomorrow i think things are going to get pretty warm. we'll call it hot around here with gusty north winds especially over our north bay mountains that's going to last into tuesday. i think tuesday should be the warmest day of the week and slowly we'll see some of that fog return. look at oakland and san francisco with mid and upper 70s today taking you anywhere from 4
6:19 am
to 7 degrees above the average. elsewhere mid-80s should do it from livermore, even redwood city topping out around 80 today. so definitely a warm afternoon, and we'll look at just a little bit of fog this morning. a couple patches flowing through the golden gate and maybe sneaking to hayward. not for long. by 8:00 to 9:00 we'll see more sunshine and more 70s and 80s around the bay. the 90s still out by the delta, the sacramento valley but they could begin to move in a little bit come tomorrow. and notice the fog paralleling the coast today. so even with those northwesterly winds, it's going to be close enough to the coast that half moon bay ocean beach will still be in the 60s. so we still have the storm system to our north that's spreading rain for washington and oregon and for us a couple of high clouds definitely drifting through the sky today. but we've got double barrel high pressure at the surface and the
6:20 am
upper levels of the atmosphere and that's going to result in stronger winds pumping through the atmosphere and that's going to mean temperatures climbing today. so san francisco look for low to mid-70s today for fleet week. and in the south bay a warm afternoon with 80 sunnyvale, 81 cupertino and even 80s sneaking up towards redwood city 81 palo alto. look for mid-60s daly city. north bay numbers warm afternoon for you. once again calistoga and union city and out over the hills into the mid-80s for danville and pleasanton today. fog around salinas and then 85 in morgan hill. so a couple of degrees warmer with each day and that's everywhere coast, bay and inland. a few high clouds today full sunshine. the rest of the work week until the fog drifts back which won't be until the end of the week. so very warm week ahead. >> you were saying high fire
