giants' fans taking the moment after winning game one of the national league championship series. good evening, everyone. the giants are now just three wins from their first world series since 2002. let's go straight to shu with the highlights. they were going up against a well-established phillies team. >> and it is a seven-game series, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. there is a collection of miss fits that no one else wanted and now they lead the phillies 1-0 in the nlcs. this game was supposed to be a pitcher's dual between lincecum and halladay, and it was a battle of who gave up the few e home runs.

top five and game tied at one. and cody ross was an afterthought entering and a home not no more. giants up 2-1. now bottom sikdz and 4-1 giants. tim lincecum pitching well, but jayson werth get his money's worth. both pitchers gave up home runs to the number 8 hitter. 4-3 game. brian wilson comes in and gets the final four outs on strikeouts. he shocked most of the baseball world by knocking off the phillies 4-3 your final. you want to take one game on the road in the first two games. now the pressure is on the phillies in game two on sunday. huge win for the giants, and we'll have complete highlights and hear from the g-men coming up later in sports. >> thank you, shu. see you soon. governor schwarzenegger threw members of his own party under the bus. in his weekly radio address he named six republican

lawmakerswho tried to block a piece of his budget deal. and he suggested they did it as pay back for political contributions. amy hollyfield joins us with more. amy, a surprising rant over the air waves today. >> alan, he stirred it up. turning it on his own party two weeks before an election. one is saying the govenor is throwing a temper tantrum. political observers say this is all very good news for the democrats. >> maybe these republicans have campaign contributions from the state prison guard unions. >> that's the kind of statement you would expect from the governor when talking about democrats. but to say that about republicans? >> what i was really surprised to see the republicans also with the same unions and hitting under the sheets. >> republicans in bed with the unions? political analysts say this is quite shocking. >> this is a typical behavior,

and that's why it lead me to chortle. i can't believe it is weeks before a major election. >> he called out six republican legislators accusing them of blocking pension reform for state workers. four of six are facing re-election next month. >> their own governor called them out and said they are hipocrites. that's extraordinary when you have your own governor doing that. and obviously this can't be good for them. >> the senate republican leader fired back saying, quote, i would have been happy to vote for real reform, but once again govenor schwarzenegger conjured up smoke and mirrors. his so-called pension reform was a form of his inability to reach an agreement with california's correctional peace officers. >> i checked the record. the legislators i just mentioned have accepted more than $75,000 in contributions from the union. >> the head of the republican party in san francisco is siding with the governor. >> i was shocked we finally had somebody to tell the truth

california candidates. in the east bay, the tea party movement staged it own get out the -- its own get out the vote rally for conservative republican candidates. here is lisa amin daw daw -- lisa amin gulezian. >> the product -- >> the pleas -- >> we need your support. >> and the tea party. >> are we going to vote on november 2nd? absolutely. >> they were there for the get out the vote rally. all parties are pushing hard to get voters on their side. according to a recent poll, seven to nine percent of california voters are undecided. that's how a third of the people here, including emily madden consider themselves. she came to figure out if this party is for her. >> i think it has taught me a lot about how they respond to the movement.

>> according to melinda jackson the democrats should take notice. >> the democratic party has a disadvantage and the republicans spurred on by the tea party has been more enthusiastic. there is a lot of energy on their side. >> we need you to help us get the vote out and really change california. >> the tea party candidates use this rally to get their personal messages out and meet with voters. but the politician considered to be the poster child of the tea party movement wasn't present. the vice presidential candidate sarah palin is in california right now. the tea party says they asked her to speak at the event, but she declined. thisy say she had a prior commitment in orange county. palin spoke in anaheim and was in san jose thursday. but the big draw isn't necessarily the names. it is more of a feeling. >> the tea party has the energy to maybe get some republicans voted in this year. >> democrats help control the

legislature -- have controlled the legislature since 1996. lisa amin gulezian, abc7 news. >> and john mccain came out swinging today in support of the senate candidate carly fee rena. during a rally at a veteran's museum in san diego, mccain wept after his colleague, barbara boxer. >> this person will never waive the white flag of surrender the way barbara boxer has tried to do every time we are in a conflict. barbara boxer is the most bitterly partisan, most anti-defense senator in the united states senate today. i though that because i have had the unpleasant experience of having to serve with her. >> earlier this week, the veterans of foreign wars political action committee reuh officialed the endorsement of boxer. they released a list of military spending bills and other measures the senator has supported.

tomorrow bill clinton joins mike thompson at a stop in napa, and later clinton will appear with jerry brown and gavin newsom at san jose state university. and officials were in the bay area trying to help balance the scales of environmental justice. the epa administrator lisa jackson toured parts of oakland and richmond including the site in west oakland. the industrial pollution is blamed for causing unusually high rates of asthma and loping disease. resident presented innovative ways to clean their contaminated soil which includes chilling crushed fish bones into the ground and cleaning it with organic material. >> the end of the day, environmental protection and community protection. i saw outstanding examples here in oakland of leadership. >> resident want to redevelop on the super fun sites. and the epa helped out by

issuing $100,000 to three low income communities. and a woman was killed on west street. oakland police say the shooters in at least two vehicles opened fire on a group of people just before midnight. 29-year-old carolyn howard was killed and three men were injured. two are in critical condition. investigators don't have a motive, but they believe howard was not the intended victim. a 28-year-old man was shot while using an atm machine at the bank of america in oakland's rock ridge neighborhood. police say the man was shot around -- was shot twice around 9:00 this morning. he is in critical condition at a local hospital. police are offering a $5,000 reward in that case. an american businessman jailed for more than two years in iran has been released. a family spokesman says 71-year-old tigavi of southern

california is expected to be escorted back to the u.s. soon. iranian officials accuse him of passing $200 in cash to a man connected to a violent opposition group. but he was never charged with a crime, and he denied knowing lisa porting the group. his family says he has diabetes and he is in poor health. meantime sources in iran have confirmed to abc news that bouer and fitale will be put on trial in iran. they were arrested while hiking on the border with iraq. dozens of police officers are competing in the largest tactile exercise in the nation. tonight, 25 northern california police agencies along with the fbi and three international teams are involved in the combination training exercise and contest that goes on for continuous 48 hours here in the bay area. this exercise in oakland simulated an amtrak takeover.

june cleaver, from "leave it to beaver" died today. >> hurry up, boys. you will be late for school. >> the show debuted in 1957 where she played the stay at home mom. she acted in a number of movies in the 1940s, but it wasn't until "leave it to beaver" she was a star. a spokesperson says she died at her home in santa monica today. she was suffering from a rheumatoid disease. she was 94 years old. well, a lane of san mateo brej will remain closed until tomorrow until cal trans makes maury pairs on a part of the span. during a routine inspection, they discovered a 10-inch crack in a seismic support beam. crews have been working to fix it. they plan to have it completed before the football fans cross the bridge for the1:00 49ers bridge. and a new museum opened

today. it tells the story of japanese americans in the silicon valley. it has been in construction for two and a half years and was built in part by jimmy yamicci who spent time in a japanese internment camp during world war ii. he wants to show the struggles that japanese-americans had to deal with. >> we can portray how we survived and lived. >> the museum is the only one of the its kind in northern california and one of two in the state. a florida produce company unveiled a new vegetable with a twist. it is red celery. farm fresh foods showed off the celery at a trade show. it has been working on the red variety for 20 years by breeding regular celery with european heirloom varieties.

more of the activity tomorrow. and then after that monday, tuesday and wednesday dry and mild conditions. this is what i'm talking about. live doppler 7hd is showing moisture feeding. a lot is not reaching the ground, but nonetheless it does show a system well off the coast is moving some of the moisture our way. this definitely is some light rain also just off the coast here near half moon bay. it is pushing off toward the north. we could possibly see a few showers tonight and a better chance tomorrow. the temperatures overnight, mid to upper 50s and a little fog out there as well. and here is pretty much the area of low pressure that is off the coast. it is moving in our direction. you can see some of the bands of moisture off the coast. it will just feed some of those in our direction. in fact, here is a look at our forecast. this pretty much tells the

story of what you can expect tomorrow, 7, 8, 9:00, showers developing north of the golden gate bridge. and then throughout the course of the day, 12, 1:00 and into the late afternoon hours. that's when some of the showers will move into the south bay and head out toward the sierra. not a huge rain event, but don't be surprised if we see a few light showers. temperatures will come down. 68 for san jose as well as cupertino. half moon bay, 59. redwood city 67 degrees. downtown, 60 degrees. in the north, 70 for santa rosa and a little afternoon sunshine there. sonoma 69 and 66 for castro valley. in the east bay, 70 for danville and 73 for brentwood and even gilroy tomorrow with some afternoon clouds. maybe a shower there and 70 degrees. my accu-weather seven-day forecast, we dry things up monday, tuesday and wednesday.
