next at 4:00, s.w.a.t. members are at the home of a double homicide suspect in fairfield. and world leaders are praising the release of one of the world's most well-known political prisoners. and jelly fish tide in san francisco. large numbers washing up on a popular beach. >> alan: good afternoon. s.w.a.t. members are at the home of a double-homicide suspect in fairfield. a manhunt has been going on since this morning for ricardo martinez deleon after his girlfriend and her boyfriend were found deed. we're live at the scene. >> reporter: we're here not far from the suspect's house.

fairfield s.w.a.t. team went into the house and searched the place. they first launched a flash bang into the house. after that, they got no response and went in fully armed with weapons drawn and shields up. they found no sign of the suspect, however. a lieutenant just told me the house is empty. they're now in the process of searching it. the suspect is ricardo martinez deheon. he police say he hot and killed his ex-golf -- ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. she moved in after she ended her six month old relationship. she has restraining order out against him which for some reason has not been served. the complex neighbors say he

mexico. we're live in fairfield, lisa amin gulezian, abc-7 news. >> alan: right now in san francisco, crews are in the middle of rescuing two men and a dog who are stuck on the side of the cliff near the lands end. this is near the legion of honor. one of the victims was pull to safety 45 minutes ago. the second was rescued about a half an hour ago. both of them are okay and did not need any medical attention. fire crews are trying to rescue the dog. they have called in rescue boats to help access that area. a community meeting is getting underway in oakland at this hour to discuss the fatal shooting of a barber shop owner on monday night. police shot derek jones after he tried to run airplane -- away from police. he refused to surrender and kept reaching into his waistband with

a silver object. police say it was a silver scale, about three by five inches. the meeting is being held at the missionary ban -- baptist church. two suspects have been arrested in connection to a double shooting in san jose. able horenda and juan cruz were taken into custody of thursday. they were wanted in a deadly shooting in august outside the fairways of san antonio apartment complex. two victims in their 20s, were shot and killed after an argument between two groups of people. investigators say the suspects are members of a criminal street gang. a new statistic shows latino students now make up a majority in california's public schools for the first time in the state's history.
