was struck by another vehicle and we haven't identified the vehicle at this time. >> the crash remains under investigation. san francisco police are investigating a fatal shooting at the top of twin peaks in san francisco this morning. a fire dispatcher got a call requesting medical assistance. emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene. the victim appears to be a young man. a witness who didn't want to be identified said the suspects fled in a white minivan. >> just the fact that 22 small caliber fire, nothing loud. >> newly released home video made by the arizona shooting

suspect jared loughner, he rambles about his dislike of schools. watch you can briefly see the reflection in the glass door at the bookstore. >> this is the community college one of the biggest scams in america. the students are so illiterate and their daily lives. here is the bookstore. the bookstore, the bookstore. they are so illegal, all these books and the constitution. we also have something called the freedom of speech. >> it was posted on september 23rd of last year. a few days later, they suspended him. the video was released yesterday by the school because of public records request. also the pima county sheriff's office made a time line.

they say he pictured racy pictures of himself eight hours before the shooting. he was wearing next to nothing and pose weigh an automatic pois pistol the same one he used to shoot gabrielle giffords who remains in critical condition at a tucson hospital. six others died in the shooting spree. >> funeral services for the federal judge who was a among those killed took place under tight security yesterday. federal judge john roll had stopped by the meet-and-greet after attending church. mourners remembered him. the same place where christina green's funeral was held thursday. gabrielle giffords progress continues to impress doctors. >> she says she did what she had to do to stay alive. >> i think was kind of thing.

i started laying on the ground. >> another different staffer, ro ron barber is out of the hospital. he was shot three times. he attended judge roll's funeral after being discharged from the hospital. here in the bay area about two dozen people held a candlelight vigil. it was organized by the mount diablo peace and justice center. they wanted to bring people together to promote civility. >> a pre-dawn fire in san jose is being investigated as suspicious. an apartment building was gutted buyer flames that appears to have started from the outside. the fire on seventh street was knocked down in about an hour. eight people including two children are left without a place to live. 16 people have been forced to find a place to stay this morning after fire swept through two residential buildings in san francisco. it happened when the mission district on florida street not

far from potrero avenue. lilian kim reports. >> when firefighters arrived on florida street in san francisco, they saw flames shooting out of the roof. the cell phone video captured the fire soon after it started. it begin on the top floor of the two-story building. sharon was home at the time and he saw smoke coming out of the roommates bedroom. >> i go to the backdoor and open it up, came back around and the closet erupted in the flames. i hit the deck. got my bags, called 911. >> tenants on the bottom unit got out as fast as they could. one tried to put the fire out. >> we ran up there. i got the fire extinguisher and i tried to put the fire out but i couldn't do anything about it. i couldn't do anything about it. >> in fact flames spread to the building next door. in all 16 people were told to evacuate. no one got hurt and firefighters were able to knock out the flames pretty quickly but both

buildings have significant damage. he hasn't been allowed in yet but he believes he lost everything. >> red cross has offered hotel vouchers so people will have a place to stay for the next five nights. >> a fire that damaged an apartment complex on 39th avenue in oakland remains under investigation this morning. flames went through the roof last night but crews contained the fire to one apartment unit. >> san francisco police have made an arrest in thursday's shooting death of a man inside a coffee shop. tips from the community helped them nab the suspect. the name was not released. they air is he chased the victim 29-year-old terry turner through the coffee shop into a bathroom where the victim was shot several times. >> thanks to dna testing the santa rosa police department has

cute a couple and their children. the tragedy happened when the father stepped on the line, the wife tried to help and then the son. relative says power lines had fallen on the house before and the accident could have been prevented. >> this is the egged second time both lines have failed on my brother's house. this time it killed my brother's family and i on would like to know why they fell. >> he says his brother is why sharon vego and their son jonathan were all killed this morning. police are still investigating what happened. the thought is that somehow the wind caused power lines to fall in the backyard. >> the only he went back. he was trying to get the fire out before it went out of control. he stepped on the line.

truckee, 19 degrees. visibility less than a quarter mile. tahoe airport, 23. vollmer peak, lots of clear sky over oakland and view from mount tam where you see a little bit of haze and most of fog is in the north bay. that is why the national weather service has issued a dense fog advisory for another 40 minutes for the north bay although the fog is sneaking in the delta this morning, but also concord. be careful. i talked about the fog moving around, especially around the delta, sometimes you have a tenth of a mile visibility, then a quarter of a mile visibility, but we are looking at high pressure to keep us warmer this weekend. i talked about temperatures dropping through the 40s, in fact some areas napa at 39. 45 in oakland, with 51 in san francisco. livermore, 43 degrees.

so finally we're looking at a stretch of dry weather with the drier air this morning. temperatures are much cooler, as much as 6 degrees cooler in mountain view and pretty much everywhere, napa, novato significantly cooler, except around los gatos where some of the winds have been picking up. around mount diablo. winds gusting to over 35 miles an hour. that is helping to mix out some of the cooler air although the cooler air settling into the valleys. that is why the fog is lingering this morning. we'll look for sunny skies all weekend long. warmest weather, alert part of the weekend if you have monday off, temperatures pushing 70 degrees. so the fog once again settling around i-5, san joaquin valley. we will be looking at skies to clear all over the bay area today. couple of things going on this weekend. we'll look for another weak system to the north to bring more of an onshore flow tonight.

i think that is going to give us more fog tomorrow morning. temperatures will warm up consistently. double barrel high pressure, fair weather in the eastern pacific. low pressure to the north. that is not bothering us yet. the storm track staying way to the north but by tomorrow, this will slowly sink south and we'll see a wind shift, few more high clouds except for the fact we will see foggier conditions perhaps tomorrow morning. elsewhere, 83 degrees los angeles. 74 in palm springs. mid-60s for monterey. we are talking about already feeling like spring. it's only mid-january. 66 in san jose. 65 in palo alto. numbers anywhere eight degrees above the average. 61 is in downtown. warmest numbers is bit of a north wind.

today marks the anniversary of the miracle on the hudson. in 2009, sully sullenberger safely landed his jetliner loaded with passengers and crew on new york's hudson river. in an instant his name was a national hero. dan ashley sat down with captain sully how the event changed his life and how he is using his fame to make the skies safer. >> this must have been the fastest two years of your life, especially the first one. >> at first, i can't tell you words failed me being able to tell you if you haven't gone through it yourself. going from complete anonymity to worldwide recognition, literally in minutes.

that is nice tradeoff with the sun. tomorrow morning, we'll see more fog in the morning but we're going to see a warmer afternoon high. starting out everywhere, north and east bay valleys, delta the fog and then sunshine for everyone. numbers above normal for just about the entire bay area today, even our coast and then tomorrow even warmer, the holiday we'll see 70s around here. the fog remains entrenched in the central valleys. so around the san joaquin valley. delta fog has been moving around a bit. so usually we look for that all throughout the year in that area but especially in the wintertime and we'll look for the overnight fog coming from the oceans. so we'll have some of that fog early on tomorrow. that will start us out cloudier
