donations to help the family. brian stow is a father of two. >> some of the employees here at amr are offering to give priorian some of the vacation and sick time so he can take the time to recover. they are also planning a barbecue fund-raiser. >> they are looking what tore a hole into a fuselage of a southwest jet ail air liner yesterday. they instantly lost cabin pressure after taking off. the pilot took it into a controlled dive down to 11,000 feet where all 118 on board could breathe without oxygen. even with that big hole in the cabin roof they made an emergency landing in yuma with only two minor injuries. a flight attendant and passenger fell down after losing consciousness.

left at least seven people dead. a mob went on a rampage in response to a burning of the quran. thousands of muslims protested it. they overwhelmed afghan police and shot several u.n. guards. japan's tsunami stricken nuclear plant is leaking highly radioactive water into the ocean. the eight-inch crack was discovered in a maintenance pit along the edge of the plant. measurements show twice the amount of short term radiation to increase long term cancer rates in humans but even those high level of radiations quickly dilute in the ocean waters. the japanese coastguard searching for people still missing rescued a dog found drifting on a roof three miles off the coast in the middle of the ocean yet yesterday.

windiest conditions and sunnier conditions tomorrow. oakland, 56 for you it's 55 in redwood city. take a look at antioch pretty gusty winds 66 there. cool numbers in santa rosa, in the lower 50s. this morning some areas are cooler certainly san francisco and santa rosa but with the cloud cover it did warm up yesterday. retaining the heat from yesterday, but that soon will be replaced by a cooler air mass. it's going to be dry. not much moisture associated with this system. gusty winds throughout the day today. along the coast and hills and out over the water. we will have a chance of rain to return next week but it will be continued cool throughout the middle of the week. throughout the day cloud cover and the winds will be quite gusty. temperatures only in the 60s in san francisco and even cooler than that right along the

water's edge. elsewhere some 70s today with those breezy northwest winds. we have a couple things going on. clouds have increased and area of low pressure not bringing us the moisture but as it pushes on through today it will be windy and then following through tomorrow is the area of high pressure. as that builds in. we'll continue to see the northwest winds and it will be sunnier. not going to recover to those above normal readings. in fact, it's going to stay where we should be but overall a cool breezy weekend with tomorrow being sunnier than today. here is a look at the winds. take a look. 30 mile-an-hour wind gusts. san francisco will be breezy throughout the day today and higher elevations of the east bay. notice the reds out on the water. very strong gusts. keep that in mind if you are headed towards the beaches.

you. he says well i have a cold. >> reporter: the caller told her he had gotten into a drunk driving accident in the dominican republic and needed money to get out of jail. >> i was devastated. i thought that is terrible. >> reporter: she was so devastated she wired him money twice. first sending him $4500 and then another $3,000 the next day when he said he needed more money. her son gary went with her to withdraw the money. >> he had all the right answers for everything. we withdraw the money out of bank. >> reporter: a detective says they have seen a big increase in con nationwide. >> many times the voice of the caller may be gashgd or speak softly. >> the detective works in the fraud division and advises seniors who verify everything before asking.
