difficult choice. in the billboards are funded by the issues for life foundation and placed in areas of high african-american populations in the country. now they're in oakland. in the billboard uses the phrase, black is beautiful, which alicia walter says co-ops a positive black phrase. >> the fact this is being used is something that is obviously at it only meant to define, and i think our community can see right through it. >> the issues for life foundation, a branch of the radiance foundation, launched this too many aborted.com. the group claims black women or disproportinally having abortions and they called planned parenthood racist for providing abortions and denying children with their right to life. >> i had an appointment with death. and if she hadn't broken that

appointment, i wouldn't be here. >> planned parenthood says the reason black women are disproportionately serviced is due to lack of health care. >> the reason is because those communities lack access to preventive health care services. >> reporter: now, because many of these billboards have been placed in congresswoman barbara lee's district, she issued a statement that says i'm deeply offend by the billboards. they stigma ties women of color and perpetuate myths about parenting skills and the types of women who seek and use abortion services. the issues for life foundation says they picked june for the campaign in california because it was in june of 1967 that abortions were legalized in the state of california. prochoice advocates say that the millions of dollar used nor billboards could have been used to provide health services for

the black communities. >> alan: the long wait continues for united airline passengers after a system-wide commuter meltdown. thousands of pangers still stranded across the country, including at san francisco international airport. lisa amin gulezian spoke to some frustrated passengers today. >> lisa: there was renewed sense of urgency at united. the goal is to get as many passengers out and in the air as quickly as possible. computers at both united and continental, which merged, went down at 5:15 friday afternoon, leaving thousands of travelers stranded. but the computers came back on five hours later. but passengers' sentiments today isn't much better. >> feeling bad. >> i'm really mad. i have a 36 or more hour delay.

>> the catchup is painful since the outage interrupted depart tiers, processing, and reservations, 31 flights were cancelled. that doesn't take into account the delays. passengers are finding reeboking isn't easy. >> supposed to go from here to charlotte, north carolina, then to huntsville, now we go from wherever we're at now, to chicago, from chicago to charlotte, from charlotte to huntsville. >> leigh: until -- how united recovers from this will be important and they must have better system. >> whether it's texting messages, paper checkin systems, they need to have these fall back plans.

>> it's not clear what caused the computer failure but the company is offering a one-time date or time change for free and a refund if you cancel your trip. >> this is terrible. lost trust in this company. >> united hopes to have flights back on schedule here and at all the nation's airports by the end of the weekend. lisa amin gulezian, abc-7 news. >> alan: san francisco police are looking for the drier who -- driver who left the scene of a deadly hit-and-run accident. a man in his oh 40s was hit as 18th and mission street. the vehicle involved was a white minivan, possibly a chevy. >> a 25-year-old woman is facing homicide and dui charges of police say she led them on a short pursuit before crashing and killing her passenger. the driver is in the hospital recovering from injuries. officers say she sped away after

they tried to pull her over. the car flipped, killing the passenger. >> another deadly pursuit this moaning in east san jose. 21-year-old jesus was killed after he crashed his car into a tanker truck. santa clara county sheriff's deputies say he was driving recklessly and led police on a short trait before crashing. his passenger was injured. oakland homicide detectives are investigating the killing of a teenager, officers responded to an area where witnesses heard gunfire. they found 18-year-old christian garcia in a parked minivan suffering from a gunshot wound. doctors could not save him. police have not made any arrests and still don't know the motive for his killing. volunteers hit the streets of oakland today to make statement against violence and help track done a killer. they handed out fliers and t-shirts to help gather

information about the shooting on main 29th. 28-year-old la toya kenney and another victim died. a third person was critically injured. it happened across the street from a block party near 88th 88th avenue and international boulevard. that's where today's rally and flier drive was held, out here just trying to get the message out and let people know that her family wants justice. she has two little girls at home that need justice for this mother. >> alan: investigators have not made any arrests in the case. police and crimestoppers of oakland are offering up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest. the family of missing nursing student michelle li spent the day searching miles canyon and other areas. volunteers gathered to begin the search effort. they're still holding out hope they'll find li alive despite the fact investigators have classified her disappearance as

buglars. as father's day approaches the children of beaten giants fan brian stow are talking publicly about their father. tyler and tabitha live in scotts valley with their mother thivment say they usually attend a giant's game with their dad on father's day. >> feels weird not having him stay by your side. >> i spent a lot of time with him. completely different not going with him every weekend. or every thursday. it's really tough. >> alan: this father's day, tabitha and tyler say they'll make a photo collage and hang it in his hospital room. police have arrested one suspect in the attack on unrelated charges. the latest edition to the swan family at san francisco's palace of fine arts has been killed. the three we're old baby swan was last seen on thursday.

father's day forecast. >> leigh: a beautiful day today. inland locations, less fog there. plenty of sunshine there, and warmer temperatures. near the coast, that's where some of the low cloud just hanging tough. temperatures today near 60 degrees. this from the high definition mount tamalpais camera. antioch, leading the pack, 80. livermore, 75. 70 in san rafael. 56, san francisco, 72 in san jose. we'll continue with passing high clouds over the bay area tonight. the patchy coastal fog will stay put and the warming begins tomorrow, father's day, and get ready because the next three 0 four days, temperatures in the 90 and climb to 100 degrees tuesday afternoon and wednesday. we started our day with low

clouds and fog near the coast, and in the last few hours we saw some high clouds venture in, so we'll keep them in the forecast. overnight temperatures, 58, antioch. napa, 52. san jose, 56. we'll keep the low clouds and fog in san mateo. >> we hat a low pressure pass close to the bay area, and that helped to generate high clouds. as it pushes towards the east, the sea breeze will start to weaken. high pressure will build, in a fairweather maker and also going to bring us the sinking hour, x which means the low clouds by the coast will thin out. this high by tuesday will make warm offshore winds, and temperatures tuesday afternoon and wednesday, highs upper 90s, close to 100 degrees. here's how we start off for your father's day. early sunday morning, 5:00 a.m.,

>> alan: a documentary examining the life of a bay area man who became a hero in the 9/11 terrorist attacks debuted today in san francisco. it was about the relationship between mark bingham and his mother. it received a loud applause during the film festival. bingham helped storm the cockpit of united flight 93 that cashed in pennsylvania.
