>> mission interrupted. a two-hour standoff at sea has ended. but activists vow to continue their journey to gaza. greek authorities have arrested the captain of a boat involved in the flotilla, and tonight there are calls for the united states to get involved. lisa amin gulezian is live in the news room with the latest. >> lisa: the audacity of hope is anchored at a port in greece. it's the latest attempt by activists to break israel's blockade and get to the people

mission was considered too dangerous. they blame israel for the holdup. >> israel is not causing the stopping of vessels in greece. they didn't have the proper documents. they should have settled things with the greek authorities. they were stopped by the greek authorities. >> that's ridiculous. greece is doing it because of pressure from the israeli government. >> jean is sure her husband is safe. she notes he is determined to get to gaza, especially after last year's failed attempt to reach the region. six ships were enter -- intercepted by sailory seasonals. nine activists were killed and ten israely soldiers were injured. this one carried only letters of support. >> this year and last year the boats have been inspected by many neutral put as -- parties thundershowerly. -- thoroughly. there have been newt recall

children. >> police in oakland are investigating two deadly shootings overnight. the first one happened around 10:15 on the 6200 block of avondale avenue. another fatal shooting was reported this morning at 1:00 a.m. on the 5700 block of international boulevard. there's no information about suspects in either case. two people in santa cruz county face charges for blocking the installation of pg&e's smart meters. this is youtube video of yesterday's arrests in the pleasure point neighborhood. the the protestors are affiliated with a group concerned with the safety and privacy of the meeters. pg&e say customers can delay using smart meters. the utility would install them but a meter reader still has to come to the home until the

public utility commission decides how to regulate them. pg&e says it does not hire unlicensed contractors to install smart meters. >> investigators say they will now use dna testing to identify what they believe is the sixth and final victim of the amtrak crash in the nevada desert. federal investigators are expected to wrap up work next week. they're trying to determine why the truck driver slammed into the emeryville bound amtrak train in a crossing. five people on the train were killed and 20 were injured in the accident that took place on june 24th. >> the centers for disease control have launched an investigation into a cruise ship that has had more than 350 cases of norovirus in two months. crews owners say passengers are the ones bringing the stomach virus on board the sea princess. the most recent outbreak was

coastal fog. heat advisory up tomorrow from noon until 9:00, with temperatures will over 100 degrees expected, and hang on to this heat right through the 4th of july holiday. we have a north wind, shift to the east, and that's why you see the fog bank itself near the coach. ocean beach starting to see a little clearing. overnight tonight, mild. antioch, 6 5. livermore, clear skies. a touch of fog near san francisco, 55 for half moon bay, and look for 60 degrees tonight in napa. here's the setup. high pressure still entrenched over much of the state. it will start to make a little bit more towards the east, and that will allow more of a north-northeasterly wind flow and that's going to mean temperatures hotter tomorrow by as much as five degrees. most location, get ready for high heat inland, with temperatures near 100 degrees.

rickie fowler is tied for the lead. sticks his approach within a few feet. carding a 6 4. watney went wide on the back nine. drained the eagle putt. then on the par-3 17th, his tee shot is right on the money. it will lead to another birdie with an 8-under 27. watney shot a course record 62. he and fowler have a one-stroke lead over k.j. choy. the giants now lead detroit 6-0. that's in the third. they're in a rain delay. we'll have highlights at 6:00.
