sergio? >> reporter: we actually just learned from police a few of the basic details on the two victims. we understand they man who was shot dead is 65 years old. his wife is 59 years old. now, we understand they live in this house right here with the garage door open right now. we've been watching a lot of investigators going in and out of the garage but the police found the man dead across the street next to his van. >> investigators spent much of the morning measuring bullet holes in a vehicle neighbors say belonged to the victims. police say one person was killed here. the other victim was rushed to an area hospital. one neighbor described what she heard this morning but did not want to speak on camera. >> i heard three gunshots. a little after 7:00. and i came outside, and then there were three police cars drove up. >> another neighbor, who only wants to use her first name, also heard something. >> we just heard the shots, bam,

bam, bam, and i just opened my door, and i didn't see anything. >> reporter: this is a double shooting that happened early this morning before most neighbors were outside to see anything. but at least one home here has a video surveillance cam-over on its roof and we understand that video has been acquired by police. this is clearly a shock to people who live just a few doors away from this shooting. >> this is a very nice area. just never happened before anything like that. so we don't even know what is happening. >> reporter: do you know the people who live at that house? >> we do not, no. we just see them very randomly. >> reporter: and actually that's the word from a lot of the neighbors we talked to they happen to know who these people are but don't really enter act with them all that often. so it's kind of a surprise this happened in their neighborhood. we have learned the names of this two victims but we're actually waiting for a final confirmation from police on these two victims. so, some of that information is going to be developing throughout the day.

reporting live in heyward. >> alan: in a vallejo, the death of an elderly couple is being investigated. firefighters arrived to find neighbors trying to put out a fire with a garden hose. then went to work looking for anyone inside. >> had to force entry through the security door and then the regular front door. went in, found the first victim. two firefighters pulled her out. we knocked the rest of the fire down, and found the second victim, who was clearly deceased. >> the couple's names have not been released and the fire is not considered to be suspicious. damage the home is estimated at $125,000. investigators in the case of missing nursing student michelle le have completed their investigation today in a remote part of alameda county. family and friends of the missing 26-year-old discovered

the up identified remains while searching yesterday in the niles canyon area. the san francisco chronicle reports the area is where the police accuse a former friend of dumping le's body there. >> they found some items. whether they're kepted -- connected is unknown. >> alan: le has been missing since may when she failed to return from a break during a nursing class. er family has not commented, telling abc-7 news they're having a low-key day and spending time with each other. le's former friend is charged with her murder and expected to be back in kurt tomorrow. she was arrested in union city after being linked to the murder with surveillance video and dna evidence. esteban blamed le for breaking up the relationship she had with her five-year-old child's

father. a judge cancelled esteban's last hearing because she did not have an attorney but the public defender's office said she should have legal representation by tomorrow. >> a massive manhunt continues for a man considered armed extremely dangerous. 33-year-old paul castillo is accused of murder and robbery after going on a crime spree in san jose. police say the parolee is 5'9" and weighs 210 pounds. he is accused of shooting and wounding a man at a gas station in san jose on friday, then carjacking a vehicle and kidnapping a woman outside of her work. the body of the woman was found inside castillo's san jose home yesterday. >> national transportation and safety board investigationors may have found some crucial evidence in a plane crash that killed nine people during an air show in reno. the ntsb says the plane had a video camera facing outward and memory cards were found at the scene.

the cards will be analyzed to see if they belong to that p51 mustang that slammed into the crowd. >> i think what's important is that for this accident, where we were wondering would we even have information like this, this is significant for the accident investigation. >> alan: ntsb investigators found and identified parts from the plane's tail. photographs indicate possibly the trim tab fell off before the crash. >> the deaths and cash advertise from the air shore disaster have many questioning the future of air races. jim ryan has the latest from reno. >> reporter: it will take days, months, perhaps years, for those who were there and their families to heal from the horror of the air show contracts in reno. >> came over and then came right down straight at us. i could see the spinner, see the plane and the wings, the propeller just coming right straight towards us. when he hit what i saw was a wall of debris and stuff.

>> alan: san francisco police will hold a community meeting after officers accidently shot two people in north beach. it happened early yesterday morning near broadway and chearny street, police tried to arrest a suspected drug dealer but he ran away and pulled out a gun. the officer fired at the suspect and wounded two people nearby. the officers arrested the suspect, 20-year-old jesus roz rodriguez. the community meeting will be held at jean parker elementary school at 6:30 tomorrow evening. the border crossing between san diego and tijuana has

re-opened five days are scaffolding collapsed there. the construction scaffolding fell on wednesday at the port of entry. it's the nation's busiest border crossing. the collapse affected all 24 lanes entering the u.s. a construction worker was seriously hurt and ten other people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to hospitals with minor injuries. >> the water is now safe to drink again for people in redwood city. nearly 200 homes in that area were under a boil order since friday. city officials found unauthorized water from a private well-being pumped into the city's water system. officials say that the test results now show no indication of contamination. let's take to leigh glaser now. she can guarantee you a good week. >> leigh: really warmed up amazingly. oakland was up 19 degrees from this time yesterday. beautiful shot from our high
