of kayvan sabeghi, here at highland hospital after he says he was beaten by oakland police officers while arrested during the sweepener frank ogawa plaza thursday morning. >> i'm furious with the way they treated my little brother. >> she says che her brother, a veteran of the wars in iraq and afghanistan was supporting the movement but wasn't one of the trouble makers and didn't deserve the beating n jail, she says her brother was denied medical treatment. >> if someone is on the floor unable to walk, vomiting blood, there can be little doubt there's something really wrong. he has a ruptured spleen. they had no idea what was wrong with him. >> the alameda county sheriff's department released a statement saying it's investigating the claim from kayvan sabeghi that he requested and did not receive medical attention. sabeghi continues to recover but doesn't feel like talking. >> he felt that we shouldn't talk about it. he doesn't want a fuss. >> really only a few in his

people arrested wednesday during the protest were from oakland. 32 from oakland, 42 from other bay areas cities, 15 from other parts of california and 9 from out of state. as for people taken into custody for failure to disperse and other charges they came from texas, michigan, new york, utah, new jersey and oregon. today marks 1 year since the sentencing of bart police officers messily in the shooting of oscar grant. he was released in june after 11 months and credit for time served. oscar grant's family and friends will hold a rally tonight at frank ogawa plaza and call for an end to what they describe as a policy of police con containment of the african and latino communities.

38 students and chaperones were on highway 680 coming back from a field trip about 7:30 when fuel began flooding the floor of the bus. the driver pulled off in pleasant hill and called police as students were evacuated from the bus. the driver recognized there was a fuel spill going on in the school bus. the driver took the exit and pulled off here onto contra costa boulevard and approximately 11 of the 35 kids were sent to hospitals for the fumes. >> some students complained of burns on their feet from walking barefoot. others complained of breathing problems from the fumes. 11 were taken to the hospital. the rest were treated at the scene. about 5 gallons of diesel spilled on the roadway where the bus stopped. >> pg and e detected a leak in the same transmission line of the deadly disaster. they're trying to pinpoint the

wind at sfo we're not doing too bad. temperatures 30s and 40s. we're looking at the air mass that we'll modify in the days ahead. numbers around the bay ranging from the cool spots in the valleys of the north bay to the salinas valley. 50s on the coast but we still could flirt with a few temperatures around freezing. watch out for that. the rain comes in by about noontime in the north bay. significant part of the bay area could be wet by 3:00. the front passes through around 11:00 tonight and sunshine takes over for the rest of the weekend. it will be cool but the numbers will modify through the much of the early part of the workweek and we'll see a couple of nice sunny, mild afternoons in the days ahead. so far, the coolest temperatures are here, down in the salinas valley. we'll look at the numbers to continue to drop here through

about sunrise and partly cloudy skies have been invading the south bay as well. the sun doesn't come up until 7:39. 38 in napa, 50 in san francisco, near 40 in the east bay valley. satellite and radar composite, light rain has begun to fall along the north coast. with cloud cover ahead of it, that's helping to modify the chilly air mass. the cold front and rain are headed our way. 11:00, still under the influence of a mostly cloudy sky. by 3:00, we've got light rain from san rafael and na napa. by the dinner hour, the cold front is in the north bay but heavier rain by 9:00 pushes through the santa clara valley, livermore valley and behind that, a cooler air mass through
