>> "occupy oakland" protester evicted again. a game of cat and mouse continues at the expense of taxpayers. good evening. >> they came, they occupied, and hours later they were evicted again. "occupy" oakland protesters set up a new encampment but police forced them to leave this morning, and some neighbors are saying good riddance. >> 15 hours, that's all it lasted. there were no arrested but it could be another long night for oakland police to make sure protesters don't take another crack at it. "occupy oakland" got to spend

exactly one night in the park next to the fox theater. shortly after 8:00 a.m., a line of 50 police officers advanced on the campers, giving them 20 minutes to pack up and get out. the demonstrators peacefully complied. >> they gave us some time but not enough time. it takes more than 20 minutes to break down everything. we had big structures. we did not want to leave a mess. >> a short time later, garbage trucks and work crews rolled up and cleared out what was left of the encampment. the land is owned by the oakland redevelopment agency. neighbors were glad police moved in so quickly. >> i fully support the right to protest and free speech. i don't support people coming in, tearing down a fence, and we had to pay for this police overtime, and this stuff doesn't come free. so, i'm glad they're gone. i just hope they stay away issue. >> reporter: this encampment was born last night when an

estimated 700 protesters trampled through a chain-link fence and took over the park. by morning the crowd dwindled to 75 people in 20 tents, a size police felt mansionable number to remove. >> people came across the street from the "occupy" tents and were throwing rocks at parked cars. some threw residents that were standing on the stairs over there. >> reporter: over at snow park, several dozen tents remained. after the city handed out notices yesterday to tell campers to leave immediately, and mayor quan said today is the last day. >> i don't know if that's tonight out midnight or whatever. i think we'll treat it like the other small encampments around town. mayor. >> reporter: it was quiet today at the plazay yesterday's

protesters planted a garden. >> in san francisco, police in riot gear raided the "occupy" camp in the financial distribution. this is not the main encampment at the plaza. this is at the federal reserve bank on market street. city officials told demonstrators they were camping there illegally. at 1:30 this morning police removed a dozen tents and arrested six demonstrators who refused to leave. >> they arrest you. you go to the jail. they cite you. you stay there for an hour. they release you they take our items and store them and we can get them back. >> civil rights leaders from the 1960s are expected to visit the "occupy" encampments in san francisco and oakland to support the protesters. >> alan: two uc davis police officers are on administrative leave after the use of pepper spray on "occupy" protesters there. >> the whole world is watching!

the whole world i watching. >> the campus police pepper sprayed and arrested 10 people. the stunts were trying to protect their "occupy" encampment on campus. the students and faculty are calling on the chancellor to resign. protesters surrounded a uc building forcing the chancellor to stay inside for hours. demonstrators stayed silent while officials left. the chancellor is pledging to ensure it doesn't happen again and is calling for a task force to investigate. >> the former b.a.r.t. police officer convicted in the shooting death of oscar grant will be back on trial on sunday. his civil trial starts tomorrow in an unrelated case of alleged police brutality. ken is suing the officer and others for allegedly punching and kicking ca roth theirs after

monday night when a supercommitow of a dozen lawmakers needs to present a agreement to cut the federal deficit by $1.2 trillion over the next decade. failure to do so triggers automatic cuts, slashing entitlement programs and pentagon spending in 2013. right now there's no deal. republicans don't like tax increases and democrats don't want to cut medicare. >> i blame the white house. >> the wealthiest of americans, those who earn over 1 mental every year, have to share, , too and that line in the sand we don't see any republicans willing to cross yet. >> the stalemate over deficit reduction could jeopardize america's credit rating and that's bad news for workers and businesses alike. abc news. >> time to check the weather. leigh, is the rain out of here?

>> leigh: you can see on live doppler 7hd the north coast and north of the golden gate bridge is clear, but still seeing some pesky showers rotating from east to west. near milpitas and saratoga. you can see the counterclockwise rotation, and just in the next 20-30 minutes all of this is going to be out of here. that low was sitting just off the coast and is pushing to the south, and southern california will get the brunt of the rainfall. check out the 24 hour totals. impressive. a quarter of an inch -- more than a quarter inch in most locations. over a half inch in san francisco, and over an inch, so a nice rain-producer as the area of low pressure started to move south near the coast overnight. showers will be ending tonight. watch out for the development of

some very dense fog in the valley areas. look for dry conditions the next few days, and then the showers will return as we head into wednesday night and definitely for thanksgiving day. temperature-wise, at the northerly winds move in, we're starting to cool down with 40s in fairfield. concord and antioch. 52 in san francisco and oakland. 53 in los gatos. this where is the counterclockwise spin it. you can see the showers as the low pushes an towards southern california, the showers will decrease. high pressure will build in for monday and tuesday so dry the next few days, and then this little guy right here is going to sneak in here wednesday night to thinking unthe clouds and bring us showers there and a wet day for thanksgiving. if you're traveling, getting an early start, the rain tonight will clear out tomorrow so 53 for los angeles, dense valley fog, central valley, fresno, foggy.
