in the news this saturday morning, about two dozen protestors tried to disrupt black friday shoppers at union square. this morning, the most complex mars rover is on its way to the red planet, it's armed with high-tech 3-d and x-ray vision. >> good morning, the mount from view tam, shots lots of sunshine, but milder and sunny this afternoon. >> i'm terry mcsweeney. >> occupy san francisco protestors plan to march to the mission district this afternoon where they will hold a rally for him grants rights. yesterday they confronted shoppers and black market street for a time but there were no arrests. >> occupy oakland and san francisco together in union square, as shoppers took black

>> reporter: there was no trouble at the ceremony. once it was over they went over to block more store entrances like at apple where they used their bodies to keep this man from getting in. not all protestors condoned it. old navy was next. they stepped down keeping shoppers inside the store until the occupy movement moved on. >> they put it all up, blockade but they can't blockade our love. >> and the protestors went up to market to justin hermann plaza. occupy los angeles protestors have been given the order to move out. the nearly 500 people have been on city hall for two months. mayor antonio villaraigosa says it's time for the area to be cleaned and restored. protestors have the choice to

leave on their own or face arrests. one says the mayor seems to care more about grass than people. >> and shoring up a water main that burst in south san francisco caused serious flooding. >> it was a mess. water was gushing, it looked like yellowstone. >> it shot up 60 feet. part of the neighborhood they closed streets and evacuated homes. lyanne melendez says crews are still working today to repair the damage. >> reporter: this resident had to be rescued. the speed of the water combined with the mud and rocks made it impossible for some residents to get out. just in time, put them across the street. >> i had opened the backdoors to the garage and the water to flow down the steps. >> the gushing water with

skating rink that needs the chilly air but they can deal with what san francisco delivers. it will be a mild afternoons. heavenly looking at a lot of sunshine. temperatures in the 20s but 50s later on. no new snow. overnight lows will be cold enough. back home we're looking at mild conditions. there is the golden gate bridge, highs in downtown san francisco, return to the 60s and more sunshine. still waiting on that sun in parts of the north bay where the numbers have been cool, upper 30s in novato. some of that fog will just sit over the delta throughout the day today. we're on our way to a warmer afternoon. 54 half moon bay. here is where we have visibility problems from novato. napa has improved considerably. a problem around santa rosa. within the next hour, conditions

improving. hayward looking hazy. some of the fog is dense. but mild afternoons the next several days. temperatures will continue to climb to above normal readings. clouds by the end of the week. cooler conditions, no rain in sight, we can go beyond two weeks with dry conditions. that is the way it's looking. here is part of the reason why. high pressure is continuing to build in california. you'll notice the clouds, arcing over this darker area. this is high pressure, the center of high pressure just to the south of us, it will continue to build to the golden state. as it does, the clouds push further to the north. the jetstream takes it well to the north into canada and we remain high and dry with unseasonably warm temperatures.

overnight, still have some fog in the valleys. across the state is row 80s in southern california. really from north to south, no travel troubles, in fact that fog will continue to scour out in the central valley. 65 in the southern sierra with temperatures back home once again in the 60s. coming up a few degrees, sunnyvale, fr7 degrees. 65 in san mateo, upper 50s in pacifica. downtown, 64. 65 in novato. 64 in napa. oakland, 66 degrees. union, mid-60s. union city, mid-60s. 71 in watsonville and gilroy in the low 70s.

right now the fog is confined to north bay valleys, santa rosa and up around concord. elsewhere, sunny skies, 54 in half moon bay. some areas providing obscured visibility is from the north bay and also into concord where fog has dropped the visibility down to half a mile. as for today, it should be scoured out. mostly sunny conditions and light offshore flow, by the nephew, it strengthens, mild afternoons but the following will be something to we'll have to contend the next several days. another weather system may drop our temperatures but still not looking at any rain nor the next several days. high pressure is in control. you can see the cloud cover arcing over in this direction, a clockwise flow. high pressure is building in from the south and clockwise flow.

assignment 7 report. >> this is exotic world of the oxygen minimum zone about a half mile deep. video was shot by the monterey bay aquarium. these animals are especially adapted to live in this habitat where the concentration of oxygen is extremely low. over the last 20 years the oxygen has been getting lower. >> everything in the ocean needs to breathe oxygen in the water just like we do in the air. so if it goes down, they suffer or die. >> climate changes are definitely happening underwater and many scientists believe it's happening above the surface. >> it appears as though the rate of change is increasing. it's getting more serious as time goes by. >> scientists and engineers are working together to try to measure the effect of declining oxygen on deep sea animals.
