in afghanistan. for many it was third and fourth deployment. last time they saw their loved ones back in june. soldiers we talked to say the deployment was rewarding. it was to provide security at u.s. bases and train and mentor afghan police officers. >> kind of western -- it's not a western style country, we did as far as we could, how to interact with the population. >> the wear we police, the way we patrol, everything in general. i think we did help them but it's going to take some time. >> the soldiers plan to go back to the full time civilian jobs, as for military responsibilities which consist of one week and month and back home, they won't have to report to that until 90 days from now.

>> immigration custom enforcement payroll documents see in information matches social security numbers. about 200 employees were flagged and are being fired. >> immigration and custom enforcement told us they do not comment on specific audits, especially since they say there are no criminal charges or penalties brought here. they did tell us how how often they carry out this strategy of these raids. across the country, they have carried out more than 2500 and they have sought criminal charges against more than 200 employers and managers. a 55-year-old man is dead after a fire in his east oakland home. the fire broke out inside a home on 79th avenue and arthur street just after 7:30. it took ten minutes to put out fire. they found the body inside a room he rented from the landlord. three others managed to escape.
