she was supposed to attend the grammy awards. we're live. the coroner just made a statement what did we learn? >> the l.a. coroner says the autopsy is complete but they're not going to be releasing the results until the toxicology tests are complete and that could take six to eight weeks. so going to be some time before we know the cause of death. however, i cantle you here it's nothing but sadness in the air. people were so upset, talking about whitney houston and her untimely passing, her sudden death a shock to the millions who loved her. hers is the voice of an angel. but the song ended in this hotel. >> 3:55 p.m. this afternoon, whitney houston was pronounced dead at the beverly hilton hotel. >> sunday, her only daughter was rushed to the hospital, distraught with grief.

the help of a convicted serial killer for human remains. investigators have found bones that are believed to be victims of the so-called speed freak killer. the remains were found in an abandoned well outside of stockton. the killer and another man are believed to have killed as many as 15 people in a methamphetamine fueled spree in the 90s. shermantine is on death row. >> a lot of peach watched as the aides quilt return toed the place where the memorial was conceived a generation ago. self -- several sections of the quilt hang in a warehouse. this marks the largest showing of the quilt since it was housed on market street. >> today is the unfolding ceremony, the reading of the named, the traditional way we

million gals of fuel from the cruise ship grind off the italian coast. ever since the coast a concordia ran aground there was concern about fuel leaks. it is a sanctuary for marine animals. it will take 28 days to empty the tanks. rough seas and bad weather delayed the work for two weeks. >> we pump out this afternoon. and we expect the next five days to be good weather, and we will work 24 hours a day to pump out the fuel. >> the concordia slammed into a reef on january 13th after the captain deviated from the ship's planned course. 17 bids have been found. another 15 people are still missing and presumed dead. >> a little girl miraculously survived after an avalanche crushed her family's home in kosovo.

or so walnut creek, concord, antioch, brentwood, light rain, and this rain band extend down towards san jose as well. saratoga and even towards boulder creek. so this is moving from north to south and going to be rather wet all night long. temperaturewise it was cooler today thanks to the increasing clouds and we're sitting in the 50s, and we'll continue with the rain developing overnight. the south to southwesterly winds will start to pick up as well. we'll look for morning showers for the monday morning commute, and then once the system passes to the east of us, we'll be on the backside of it. we'll see partial clearing, a windy afternoon tomorrow, and then off and on showers, every other day in our forecast through at least the middle part of our work week. here's a look at the actual cold front. look at it one more time.

just slamming into the north coast. check out all this energy. incredible enhancement right here near the frontal boundary. this is going to move in here tomorrow morning. in fact here is a look at the timing. this forecast model almost exactly right on spot of what we're looking at right now. so the rain will continue to move in overnight tonight from north to south. and you can see ten, 11:00, 12:00 tonight, we're all going to get wet. some imbedded pockets of moderate rain, 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, wet pavement for the morning commute. most rain will shift to the start. once we see the clearing, the northwesterly winds will start to pick up. by 6:00 tomorrow night, looks like for most of us the evening commute should be okay. the winter weather advisory, eight inches at lake level. close to a foot above the 7,000-foot level. already starting to snow right
