to a variety of solutions. >> and this district promised parents of the schools that their kids would go anywhere within the district. we found that at four of the five schools, between 93 and 90% got a first choice. now, lazere school does not do as well that is why parents are pushing for a charter. >> there is a judge assigning a new lawyer to a man accused of killing five people in san francisco. he is charged with five counts of murder with special circumstances. today a judge ruled public defender cannot represent luc because of a conflict of interest. the public defender is representing his brother that may be called as a witness in the murder case. the judge appointed a private attorney at taxpayer expense to represent luc.

demand for new fuel efficient cars led to a boom in auto sales estimating sales in march topping $1.4 million. get this. that is 16.5% increase over a year ago and 26% over last month. and that has been looser standards also helping boost the sales. motorist rates inching closer once again to lows. the average 30 year fixed rate is now at 3.99%. this is when buying and refinancing are at their highest levels since the crisis began five years ago. last month the 30-year fixed rate hit a low of 3.87% and crept back up above 4% and a lot of people think it would going to five, but dropping again, today. and surprising all of us. >> thank you. >> sure. >> and on to weather. spectacular in parts of the
