up church after a long night of tears and rec lidia sim. it was standing room only in the hayward korean baptist church as friends and family of 21-year-old lidia sim said good boy to the oikas university student killed in monday's school shooting. >> i saw her when she was young. the little girl with my son, she was really cute and very nice. >> reporter: joyce is friends with lidia's parents. >> she has a loving heart. she was a really good daughter to her parents. she loves kids so much. >> reporter: lidia was studying medicine. her parents just wanted her to have a good life. >> this immigrant from south korea, we have a hope -- we have a dream. we wanted to raise our children here as well. >> reporter: lidia was a big

part of the church. >> she personally taught my cousin at the church here. she was an active teacher in the ministry. and it is just a shame this had to happen. >> reporter: they last saw lidia on sunday, the day before she died. >> we were cracking jokes and she was laughing with us. >> reporter: now he has to cope with the reality without her. >> we have been crying about it. it is hitting the parents really hard. we were speechless. >> reporter: and it was evident just how much of an impact that young lady had on so many people. i spoke to one young man who said lidia used to take care of them when he was little. and their pastor from texas flew back to lead the memorial. abc news. >> thank you. the man accused of the mass murder is back in a santa rita jail after being formally charged in court. also police and pros ut coulders revealed new information about juan go and what happened right after the

shootings. john is live at oikas university where this tragedy took place. >> this is still an active crime scene. we have been watching the technicians move around inside. some of those inside during the shooting returned to the campus. tonight another car pulls away from the parking lot of the university. several students came back to the campus to pick up their vehicles which had an part of the crime scene and off limits since monday's shooting rampage. technicians are president coulding on edgewater drive. the floor of the main hallway is still littered with evidence markers. they won't say if they are shell casings. it is prosecutor revealed more about 43-year-old juan go, the accused mass murderer now officially charged with a crime and facing a possible death penalty if convicted. >> the information we have received from some of the individuals who knew him at the school was that he was a loner and what some might call

a loser. >> this afternoon go appeared in court hands shackled at the waist. he was emotion less as the judge read the counts against him, seven murder charges three for attempted murder. he was not expelled from the university, but left on his own in november with his tuition fully paid. he returned on monday with a 45 caliber semiautomatic happened gun with fully loaded ammunition magazines. >> there was some information that the defendant wanted money back for what he paid. >> he gave an explanation for why go left after the shooting. >> all indication was that he left. he was not able to continue the pattern. some people left the building and there were calls to 9-1-1. one of the officers was around the corner and he was contacted about something happening at the building. i suspect he knew he was on the way. >> the d.a. revealed go went to the safe way stair in

alameda and asked to use a phone. a clerk overheard his conversation with his father and alerted a private security guard who called police reporting that a man admitted shooting several people in oakland. today authorities returned to the ease chew water looking for the murder weapon, but found nothing. they are reviewing surveillance video from several buildings near the university. juan go admitted to the shooting though in court he did not enter a plea. he will be back in court later this month. it could be a day or so before they finish work here and relinquish this building. in oaknd la, -- in oakland, abc news. >> the decision on whether to seek the death penalty will happen after the preliminary hearing. they will review the evidence and any information provided by go's defense attorney. there are now faces to go with the names of two more people killed on monday. doris was just two months away from graduating and leaves behind a husband and three children. and butia from san francisco

born in india and the only man killed in the rampage. >> one of the survivors of monday's mass shootings has new details about what happened inside the classroom where the shooting started. sergio quintana spoke with ahmad saeed. >> he said the shootings came almost without any warning. he says juan go burst into the classroom with the woman hoss stage and started yelling. >> he started firing. when he started we saw the lady and she fell from the chair and everybody was scared and went out the door. he came from the backdoor. >> a school secretary was likely the woman go brought into the classroom and the first person shot. saeed says he and two other students escaped and hid in a nearby room. >> i locked the door. i waited for cops. i heard some shooting. >> that's when saw seed

realized he too was shot in the shoulder. >> and then i feel some wetting my jacket and my arm. when i touch i saw some bleeding coming from my wound. >> originally from kabul, afghanistan, ahmad saeed has been studying nursing since he moved to the united states three years ago. he did not recognize the shooter because he has only been at oikas university for the last three months. right now he is still trying to figure out exactly why this all happened. >> i don't know him. i don't know what has happened to him, why he just -- the situation. >> saw seed was released from the hospital and was recovering from his gunshot wound to the shoulder. in oaknd la, sergio quintana, abc news. >> the two other people shot and wounded and survived are grace and delwinder core. both were treated and released from the hospital. monday was the first time most of us have heard of oikas

a sonoma park animal handler was gored by a cape buffalo. it happened at saw far rewest. the four-year-old buffalo like this one known as ruth followed a herd of cows through an open gate. the handler was injured when she tried to coax ruth back where she belonged. she suffered a serious leg injury. ruth was tranquilized and then returned to her pen. the santa clara county sheriff's department picks um the -- picks up the search for a missing teenager tomorrow. sierra lamar was last seen on march 16th on her way to her school bus stop. tomorrow's search will look in and around san ma are teen and gilroy. they are following up on more than a thousand leads. investigators say evidence

indicates that sierra is probably the victim of kidnapping. a pedestrian hit by a bicycle in the castro district has died. a rider collided with 71-year-old wi at the corner of castro street on thursday morning. witnesses told police wi was in a crosswalk and the bicyclist may have run a red light. the name has not been released. no charges have been filed. yaw hue was -- yahoo was passing out penning slips saying 14% of the workforce. the timing was puzzling because the new ceo was not explaining his vision for the future. he might be, some speculate, preparing to sell the company. >> if you are going to do it properly, you do it deep and fast. this looks shallow and long, and so it does look like he may be learning on the job here. if you are doing a layoff for packaging for sale, you also want to go very deep because

you want to make the company look as good as possible as quickly as possible. >> yahoo says it will save $375 million a year. in the past four years, they have laid off 6,000 employees. the last call at san francisco's gold dust lounge may be sooner rather than later. the san francisco historic preservation voted against granting the landmark status. they are trying to avoid being evicted from their digs, but they received an eviction notice. they were supposed to close last month, but no final closing date has been announced. the san francisco giants are hoping for a big hit off the field. the giants want to turn the asphalt parking lot across from mccovey cove into a massive complex. a nearly $2 billion project called mission walk would include housing, retail businesses, restaurants and parks. construction could start in 2015. the giants say the project will add $13 million a year to the city's general fund.

this view was from the high definition roof camera. a couple hours ago, you can see just how clear it is outside. we have a great view of the moon. but with the clear skies, we are in for a cold night. temperatures right now in the 40s. we have had wind gusts outside about 30, 40 miles an hour. they have since dropped off. the winds along the coast gusting to 25 miles an hour. but look at the temperatures. compared to 24 hours ago, we are down 10 dries in los gatos. 8 degrees cool neither fairfield and 2 degrees cooler in san francisco because of the wind, not dropping much. santa rosa is down 6 degrees compared to 24 hours ago. we are definitely in for a cold night. valley frost is expected by morning. cool and breezy tomorrow. and a warmer pattern is setting up saturday through monday. but it is not an entirely dry pattern. i will explain in a moment. frost advisory is covering the north bay interior valleys and the north bay mountains. also in salinas valley from
