oikos university. this after the accused gunman is officially charged with murder. katie marzullo is live at the campus with new developments. >> reporter: i have all of that for you. let's start with where we're standing the crime scene here oikos university still a crime scene. detectives are saying it could be another day or so before they hanover control of the university back to the school. you can -- hand over control of the university back to the school. there is still an officer out here guarding the school. another scene is going to come into play today. look at video of the estuary near the oakland airport this is where authorities have been searching for the murder weapon. they weren't able to finish the search because of weather yesterday. they are going to be back out there today, diving again and searching for that murder weapon. another revelation, apparently the administrator originally named as the target of one goh's shooting rampage has been changed. the police chief told at

associated press that ellen cervellon was the target. the chief is saying it was another administrator and not naming that administrator, also a woman. one goh was well-known on campus by administrators and students. his reputation was not great. >> information that we have received from some of the individuals who knew him at the school, was that he was a loaner and -- was a loner and what some might call a loser. >> reporter: he was formally charged yesterday with seven counts of murder, three counts of attempted murder and special circumstance that special circumstance could get him the death penalty that is still to be determined. katie marzullo, abc7 news. >> the decision on whether to seek the death penalty will happen after the preliminary hearing. the district attorney will convene a committee which will review the the evidence.

one of the survivors has new details about what happened inside the classroom where it began. sergio quintana spoke with him and has this report. >> reporter: 36-year-old ahmed says the shootings came out warning he said one goh burst into the classroom with a woman hostage and started yelling. >> he sideline-up and he started firing. [ unintelligible ] he came from backdoor. >> reporter: a secretary was likely the woman goh brought into the classroom and the first person shot. he said enid a near by -- he said he hid in a nearby room. >> reporter: he realized he been shot in the shoulder. >> [ unintelligible ]

i see wetting my jacket. when i turned i saw bleeding coming from my wound. >> reporter: originally from kabul, afghanistan ahmed says he has been studying nursing since he moved to the united states three years ago. he did not recognize the shooter because he has only been at oikos university for the last three months. right now he's still trying to figure out why this all happened. >> i don't know him. i don't know what's happened to him. why he did this situation in that class. >> reporter: he was released monday from the hospital and recovering with family in the bay area. sergio quintana, abc7 news. two others who were shot and wounded are -- have been treated and released from the hospital >> monday was the first time most of us had ever heard of oikos university. the state department of consumer affairs is well aware

of the small christian college. the state has been concerned about the academics at oikos especially the ability of the students to pass the national nurse exam. the statewide average is 75% at oikos in 2010 only 58% passed, last year just 41%. the state says the pass rate doesn't go up to 55% accreditation could be withdrawn. stay with abc7 news for continuing coverage of the deadly shootings we'll continue to bring the latest on air and online at abc7news.com. in a few hour the man accused of killing five in a home in san francisco is expected back in court to face multiple murder charges. 35-year-old binh thai luc is being held without bail on charges he murder five, he made his court appearance week. the victims were killed in four areas in the home. sources have told abc7 news

the killer poured bleach, water and paint over the scene to damage evidence. this morning the sheriff's office will conduct another search for missing 15-year-old morgan hill girl sierra lamar. search-and-rescue will concentrate on san martin and gilroy. k-9 units will be involved. still no sign of sierra. she was last seen friday march 16th, leaving her home to catch a school bus. investigators say evidence indicates she probably a kidnapping victim. the frost advisory for the morning has been cancelled. that doesn't moon it is warm. >> still feels cold. -- >> good morning. still chilly outside with 30s and 40s the winds stayed up enough that the frost advisory wasn't needed. the winds having kicked up showers now but they will later up in the north bay. winds still gusting around 23

advocates, a judge in san francisco says it is discriminatory for the federal government to deny benefits to employees same-sex spouses. the ruling stems from the case of a san francisco man and a federal law clerk who married his husband in 2008 when it was briefly legal in california. last year the government turned down his health insurance application for his husband on the basis of the defense of marriage act doma which is being contested in court. this morning analysts speculating about the future of yahoo. yesterday yahoo passed out pink slips to 2,000 workers who found out their services won't be needed by the end of the year. about 14% of yahoo's workforce. timing is puzzling the new ceo scott thompson won't explain his vision of the future which means he could be preparing to sell the company. >> if you are going to do it properly, you do it deep and fast this looks shallow and

today, you may want to use our flight tracker at abc7news.com. it will have all the delays. 4:46. any this morning, scathing new criticism of the massive government loan given to now bankrupt solyndra. the new report from the treasury department inspector general says experts were not consulted on the 528 million dollar federal len until the very last minute and -- federal loan until the very last minute and had a day to complete their review. concerns were never0y÷ addresse. solyndra was the first green energy company to get a federal loan under a new stimulus program. the company declared bankruptcy last year and laid off more than 1,000. police in oakland are searching for three men who crashed a minivan into a market last night. the vehicle hit a car on fruitvale, ran over a fence and crashed into the black and

white market on fruitvale and 27th street. the three men inside ran. fire officials left the minivan in place for several hours until they made sure the market was not in danger of collapsing. the market won't be allowed to reopen until serious repairs can be made. a pedestrian hit by a bike last week has died. a rider collided with 71-year-old at the corner of market and castro a week ago. the witnesses told police the car was in a crosswalk and the bicyclist may have run a red light. the bike rider's name has not been released. the accident remains under investigation. a sonoma county animal park handler is recovering from injuries she suffered yesterday when she was gored by a buffalo. a spokeswoman says the 4-year-old buffalo like this one, known as ruth followed a her of cows through an open
