we understand these people were on the sidewalk? >> lisa: that is very true. the police say the driver was coming drown treat boulevard. he hit a fire hydrant, three people, and that building, and finally came to rest next to the planks. mangled bikes, a child's helmet and a smashed suv. this is what it looks like when lives are changed. >> this is a horrific accident. it's during an easter weekend when families are together. innocently riding bikes down the street. and unfortunately this tragedy occurred. >> it happened moments after the 17-year-old driver crossed oak grove on treat and lost control it was just as solomon and his two young daughters on their weekly bike ride were going buy on the sidewalk. just a few yards from home when they were hit. solomon died immediately. >> i went over to the man, and when i got there, it was obvious

that he was dead. so, i checked for breathing and checked for pulse and couldn't find either one. >> the eight-year-old died soon after and the 11-year-old daughter is in stable condition. >> just minding their business, riding their bikes on the sidewalk, and you don't think something like that can just like in a split second. >> the 17-year-old driver, who we have chosen not to identify, is charged with manslaughter. police say he was speeding. the boy called this friend moments after the crash. >> got in a car accident, lost control, might have hit a few people -- no. he said he did hit people but he might have killed two. >> the driver goes to olympic high school, continuation school in concord. it's not clear where he was going this morning but his friend says the driver has

gotten several speeding tickets in the past. >> and coming up tonight at 6:00,lash more about the family, how they found out about this tragedy and what they think about the driver. live in concord. lisa amin gulezian, abc-7 news. >> alan: a $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the safe return of a missing morgan hill teenager sierra lamar. volunteers spent the day searching. even alex smith and joe stayly took part of the search. the reward is made possible through due nations. >> we want someone to come forward without this, but whatever we can do to get some kind of tip that will lead us to sierra. that's what we're after. >> my belief she is coming back is making me be able to continue as far as a lack of sleep, and

investigation and will have the latest right after this newscast. the commander of u.s. fleet forces calls it an amazing miracle that no one was killed when a navy fighter jet slammed into an apartment complex in virginia beach. >> anyone in here, get out! any this video shows fire crews evacuating an apartment complex, and this video shows the intense flames and thick smoke the firefighters had to face. the hornet had just taken off when a flight instruct juror his training pilot lost control of the jet. here's how the pilots' quick thinking may have saved lives. >> just moments into the air the fa-18 was in trouble. >> with the nose up and bottom down and engines screaming, sounded like they were trying to get back into the air. >> they didn't make it. the fighter jet slammed into this apartment complex

who moved in with her former high school teacher says she ended their relationship as he was charged with sexually abusing another student. christopher hooker was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl. hooker is also being investigated for his relationship with pawers, a former high school student. jordan pours is her name. authorities suspect their physical relationship began before she turned 18 while she was still a student. powers told "good morning america" because hooker has not denied the relationship. >> how can he lie to me for all these months and tell me he moves me. i -- how he loves me. >> always had the same contention, he is a pervert and this predator behavior didn't happen overnight. >> the judge entered a not guilty plea on hooker's behalf and is due back in court next week.

>> san francisco police are asking for help in solving the theft of two gold medallions. they're 2-1/2 inches long and a half inch wide. the medallans were taken during a mother on march 23rd in the bayview strict. they were a gift the victim for his years of service in saudi arabia and have sentimental value. nip -- anyone with information is asked to call the police. >> how the president is sharing the joy of the holidays. >> a cease fire in syria is just days away and there are signs that the government is in a rush to crush the resistance. we'll find out from frances dinglasan if this warmer spring weather will stick around.

check out the numbers right now. we're still hitting 70 degrees in los gatos, and very comfortable around the bay. upper 60s in redwood city, san jose. 58 in san francisco so it's starting to cool down. still 68 in livermore. what really tells the story is the 24-hour temperature change. we're seven degrees warmer in los gatos, and five to eight degrees warmer than yesterday around the base. so it's a nice day to take advantage of the sunshine. mostly dry for easter sunday so that's good news for folks planning outdoor activities or going church. but a very slight chance in the north bay, late sunday evening and a very light shower. but by tuesday, rain for everybody around the bay area. so here's a look at the satellite radar image. we have this area of low pressure. the air is circulating counterclockwise, and this front hangs out there, so this low

will bring us periods of rain throughout the work week. but here's some of the latest models and how it plays out tomorrow. even though this front is hitting the north end of california, we'll get some rain along the coast, throughout the day stays there. so elsewhere see cloud cover increase by sunday night, but still, mainly dry, even into monday morning. just a slight chance i wanted to mention in the north bay but we should be fine and still quite a bit of sunshine, especially the farther south you head. overnight lows a little milder tonight with increasing clouds. so 48 in san francisco, 40s for everyone with the exception of fairfield at 49. 45 in san jose, 43 morgan hill. so on the cool side. and tomorrow, temperatures a little bit like today. not quite as warm but still very comfortable, even hit some 70s in livermore and san jose. 63 in san francisco, sunshine in the east bay. the clouds will move in, in the north bay, tomorrow afternoon.
