underwater search operations at the park here are not related to the new crime lab leads. divers investigating 10 ponds in this county park area and not far from sierra lamar's home. one leader told me the dive team has been able to clear seven ponds and several dive operations. that means no new relevant evidence in this case so far from the several underwater searches covering ponds and nearby reservoirs and the evidence, her cell phone and purse found in days following her disappearance do appear to have produced new clue autos they're not specify chg evidence items led to leads, they're saying that they're positive they're fruitful and it meant additional leads to follow up on. so we're hoping that it does leave us something

release their poles hopefully they'll be able to perhaps disengage from the line. >> and one tax professional said he's never seen anything like it. a last minute change of heart from california franchise tax board that could save you thousands of dollars. while costing the state millions. abc 7 is live tonight to explain what's happening. >> when the state announced last year that california taxpayers couldn't deduct certain fees appearing on property tax bill on their income taxes it was seen for the state to raise money but now it appear was a change, it's the taxpayers who will benefit. >> i'm disappointed in the fact this is revealed at last minute. >> his tax return, finished. now, john is one of many who may file an amendmented return thanks to a last minute change

in guidelines from the state franchise tax board. >> i certainly intend to amendment my return and take advantage of this addictional deduction autos last fall the state barred announced guidelines for taxpayers warning them they can no longer deduct certain items from the property tax bills. the only item that's could be deducted were base based on assessed value of property but then, after hearing from the irs a last minute change from the tax board. >> the franchise tax board has reversed their positions. >> he has been a tax preparer 14 years, his advice to clients... >> i take the deduction. if you're still preparing your tax return. and with the deduction. >> and quote, we're looking at

>> yes. summer like. >> there this is very summer like. we keep revising the forecast going along. there are indications temperatures goring to get high skbrer higher. there is a live view right now from our mount tam camera. there is ocean beach, you can see there are low clouds at the coast. and there are thin clouds as well. taking a look at high temperatures there is a 20 degree spread between the high in half moon bay and morgan hill. so that looks almost like our summer time pattern of much, much lower high temperatures near the coast. there is highs into low 70s and upper 60s near the bay. so a mild day except at the coast. there are current temperatures into mid-60s and we've got mid-60s near the bay as well as fremont. there is partly cloudy tonight

and temperatures above 80 degrees by week's end. satellite radar shows a system moving to our north and this does contain rainfall. starting at 7:00 we'll see moisture traveling to our north and will get clouds moving through the bay area sky until they start to clear up tomorrow and there is warmer weather inland. near the coast we night exkbreerns a slight cool down. most loks will be warmer on thursday. low temperatures tonight a bit cooler, san francisco with a low around 50 degrees, tomorrow, highs into the south bay. low to mid-70s. 75 in los gatos, low 70s on the peninsula as well. there is 64 degrees in

and physically stimulating. >> the california superintendent says low income families can't afford many of the programs. >> during the summer middle income kids keep going with the learning in the home environment and their own neighborhood. and there is why year after year. >> facing yet another deficit, foundations do. and the organization behind the campaign to provide summer learning law autos we're working with private foundations to talk to them about why it's important to invest in summer learning. >> 75 corporations in the silicon valley are helping fund programs like stepping up to algebra. for a month in the summer a thousand under served kids at 30 schools will get help with math skills.

pg&e disconnected 8% of all customers in the care program. and that is compared to san francisco gas and electric of 3.8%. >> what we wanted from the beginnings they looked at each other's practices and i see what works for all of them and adopted practices of each other. >> measures were put into place mandating they work out payment plans with customers. ratepayers must be given three months to pay off the bills. and since then, a rate of shuttoffs for customers dropped 31% to just 5.6% in 2011. >> that is a sign we're making progress. in the middle of a west economy in recent memory. >> cpuc thinks pg&e can do better and giving until the end of 2013 to reduce its shut off rates for care customers
