rehab for substance abuse. >> ama: pg&e is investigating after man died from touching a live 12,000-volt powerline. pg&e says a mylar balloon few into the power lines, causing an explosion which knocked a transmission line the ground. a neighbor tried to move the downed line. he died at the hospital. in west sacramento a man wanted in a crime spree is dead after shootout with officers. authorities believe the unidentified man was responsible for a series of carjacks that led to the closure of a stretch of i-80. deputies spotted the suspect running into an upstairs apartment building. authorities say they shot and killed him after he set the apartment on fire and refused to show his hands. >> alan: in santa clara county a day-long search is underway to help find missing teenager sierra lamar. the 15-year-old cheerlead ervanished on he way to catch a school bus.

to head out to a unanimous -- national park. admission is free all week long starting today and goes until next sunday. >> ama: great weather to take advantage of it. >> frances: do it tom because we have rain on the way. i can't believe it. we did have some gorgeous temperatures and beach weather, with this live shot at santa cruz, you can see it's in the 60s today, and all though we didn't break in the records, we did warm up very nicely. in fact our numbers were about 15 degrees warmer in many locations compared to what you expect this time of year. currently in san francisco, it's 72 degrees, and los gatos, 90 degrees. even san jose, 85. normally we're at 71 degrees in san jose. and we got up to 89 degrees

today. yesterday at this time, a little warmer in quite a few locations, especially in hayward. tomorrow is the complete opposite. 10 degrees cooler in many spots. mainly clear overnight except along the coast where we could see fog develop once again in some patchy fog actually. sunny and warm tomorrow. actually be another nice day but a cooling trend on the rain, and then a chance of rain heading to the bay area mid-week, most likely on thursday. we have this area of high pressure, and with this clockwise motion, we see nice, stable sinking air, warm air mass over us. but check out this low pressure. i want to show you the visible satellite image. that's helping to push the clouds in and the southerly flow, and that's going to mean sea breeze increased tomorrow, and cooler temperatures as well for us. so, we'll see the stratus clouds move in tonight, and into

tomorrow. mild overnight lows, still in the 50s, with 53 in san francisco. 54 in half moon bay, and santa cruz so no 40s out there in fact, antioch and fairfield, still at 59. so, that's not too cool. but tomorrow will be a warm day still in the south bay. with santa clara up to 77 degrees and nine for you there as well. on the peninsula, look for mid-70s to low 70s as you head farther north. 72 in san mateo, and then coastal clouds, 62 in pacifica, not quite as warm as today. along the coast we'll notice more significant cooling as well. 66 in the sunset district. 70 downtown san jose. look for mild condition inside the north bay. mid-to-upper 70s. 78 in napa. 76 in petaluma, and some low 70s in the east bay. 75 in castro valley. mid-80s in the interior
