in the seven-day outlook. right now you are looking at the fog. from emeryville, it's shallow and we are looking at this fog that is taller and westerly winds and that will bring cooler temperatures. dense fog around half moon bay and the influence from pacific. in oakland, 9 degrees cooler than we were yesterday. came up from the south last night. it will stay with us. we'll see a couple weather systems this week that will continue to cool down and bring us some rain. for the first time since the deadly shooting on april 2nd, classes resume tomorrow at oikos university. six students were killed and a receptionist was killed by a gunman. that he was angry that they refused to refund his tuition. several students say they won't be there and will only complete

their degrees if classes are held at another location. >> this week a salvage crew will attempt to attempt to recover a yacht from the farallon islands. they paid tribute to the five crew members that were lost at sea. >> reporter: over radio they got the hundred boats that came from around the bay. for those that knew the crew, this memorial flotilla was tribute. >> it's amazing. >> reporter: and they watched from the shore along with dozens of others. she knew one of the five that were lost at sea when a wave watched her and three of her crew off. as part of the ceremony, one of survivors of the accident were tossed in the waters. a few other people brought

flowers and some who knew the crew from around town. >> there is five roses, one for each sailor. >> her roses made it into the water. her personal tribute in the grand show of respect to those that are now gone. an ark arc of water shot into the air and another cascade came from the san francisco fire department boat. and finally the horns. they slowly made it back to boat only with boat filled with wreath staying in the water through sunset. >> it was a week ago this weekend that a large wave washed four crew members of the. second wave washed the boat out on to the rocks. it's expected to be retrieved by a salvage crew later this week.

here is a look from high definition emeryville. you can see the depth is very shallow and san jose right now, it is nice and sunny out there, 13 degrees cooler. it was 91 yesterday. average high is 71 this time of year. we will l cool down in the santa clara valley but not as significantly as we will in san francisco sfran or the north bay. we've had dense fog all morning long around half moon bay. it's 50 here but notice all the 60s and 70s. it isn't cooler everywhere. but still very warm around the delta. 24 hours ago we were much warmer. 12 degrees cooler in san francisco. 7 degrees cooler in hayward and oakland. livermore, bumped up 2 degrees. mountain view, cooler, as well. slowly we're getting underway the southerly winds bringing in the marine air and westerly winds taking over tonight

elevations of north bay and east bay tomorrow could see a thunderstorm but not until wednesday and thursday that everyone could see the chance of some rain. first things first. we have the high pressure ridge, it's beginning to be knocked down in the south and east due to this low. it's going to drop down and the entire state by the middle of the week. with the high sliding to the east. we have a wind shift and coast cools down 95 in fresno and nice day around the bay with 70s and 80s. just taking the edge off that heat. still above normal. 74 in fremont. down by the monterey bay, it's pretty foggy right now. temperatures in the 60s and 70s there. big change. we're looking at the cool temperatures in the east bay. slight chance of thunderstorm in higher elevations tomorrow and by wednesday, chance of rain

faulty seam weld nine miles south where the disaster occurred. it was turned in last month. well after the investigation. the company denies the leak occurred along the seam. that would have required an inspection of all 51 miles of that pipeline. >> san bruno scorched glenview neighborhood is getting new trees. thanks to the effort of a 13-year-old boy. he collected $4,000 in grant money and donations to that to come up with a couple dozen trees to be planted today. the work will be done this morning by volunteers he recruited starting at 10:00 a.m.. it seems an unusually high number of bees are invading the east bay that haven't seen swarms like this in years. laura anthony reports. >> it's the season to to be a bee in contra costa county. in concord, thousands of bees swarmed a car that is until a

valley and today, 6-12 degrees cooler in most spots. san francisco coming down and santa cruz, big dramatic cool down and we're looking at a lot of cooling in the north bay while the east bay and south bay sees moderate cooling. low clouds and fog banked up along the shoreline. and allow the sunshine to infiltrate much of san francisco. point reyes will stay foggy. overnight hours, more moisture and by monday, a thunderstorm east bay, north bay, piece of energy out in the pacific heading towards the coast. we are looking this cut-off low much of california, wednesday and thursday. here is the ridge. beginning to shift to the east. there is our system that could bring us a couple raindrops. we're talking tenth of an inch of rain for thursday. there is the ridge slipping.
