collided with a car carrying two people, no word on the extent of the injuries. the police and the chp are urging everyone to slow down this morning. this morning, san francisco police are asking for your help finding three attackers believed to be targeting gays. there have been at least two beatings reasonly. police admit there -- recently, police admit there may have been more. terry mcsweeney is live at the scene of one of the attacks. >> reporter: this the scene of the most recent attack or the most recent attack that police know about. that's what has police concerned this morning that there may have been other attacks that have not again reported that is why they want everyone to take a look at the sketches now of the suspects in this what they are considering a hate crime, one six foot 170 pond latino the other two latino or white between 5'7 and 5'10, 150 pounds the first attack march 29th, 400 block of castro street. the second attack market and

415-575-4444. developing news out of oakland this morning. police have arrested 11 in a raid on a massive marijuana growing and distribution operation. we just got this video 30 minutes ago. oakland police filling a pick-up truck with some of the 1,000 plants they confiscated from a large warehouse on 89th and g street. they also found several weapons. one woman and 10 men were arrested and two pit bulls were taken by animal control. amy hollyfield is on the scene and will have more coming up. we are learning more about that new case of mad cow in central california the cow was 5-years-old and came from day dairy farm. the farm has not been identified. we are learning that this is considered an atypical case of mad cow that means the animal did not get it from eating tainted feed. investigators are trying to track down where the cow was

born and find any offspring. health and food offs say the animal was never headed for human consumption. all food supply is safe. this morning nasa is revealing more about that massive meteorite that fell to earth sunday. nasa says it was the size of a minivan and detonated with a force equal to a quarter of the energy released by the atomic bomb dropped on hiroshima. space buffs are scouring fields looking for pieces of it. experts say there should be plenty of the nasa the fragments may contain rare amino acids and organic molecules. nasa is asking everyone to check their cameras because they may have=ç captured images of the meteor. today may not be a good time to get out there, we still have wet ground and more rain on the way. >> the rain can also dissolve

going to cause slowing northbound 880 past thornton blocking a couple of the lanes as you head through fremont looks like there's a little slowing at the scene. injuries have -- no injuries reported but it could cause things to slow. southbound we'll keep an eye on that traffic moving 61 miles per hour southbound. northbound probably slow at the scene. also, we'll check out the bay bridge toll things are slow to the metering lights, traffic backed up beyond the end of the parking lot. in the south bay, just a few minutes ago we saw rain falling through it looks lighter now headlights northbound 280 this is 17 across your screen, estimate looking good in the south bay despite the light rain. a couple problems on 580, a new one reported near livermore at 1st street. it could be the same one it was reported on the 1st street on ram, another traffic spotter reported it 13 minutes

ago very heavy traffic especially coming out of basco into livermore and you will find it slowing as you head towards the dublin interchange. you can track traffic by downloading this free app by going to abc7news.com/waze. it is a great tool to have, you can put it on your smartphone or iphone, especially if you want detours around the doyle drive closure this weekend. thank you frances, we are looking forward to your reports. ac transit has now approved a 150 million dollar bus rapid transit project. the project will cover a heavily traveled nine mile route from downtown oakland to the san leandro bart station. buses arrive every five minutes on weekdays because of bus-only lanes and special passenger loading zones developers say it will be a like a railway on wheels the project will open in phase and be completed in 2016. what we are learning about

took place. >> reporter: good morning. check out the warehouse it doesn't look like much. wait until you hear what was going on inside at 89th avenue and g street. check out the haul, we saw this pick-up truck pull out of here 5:15 this morning it was full of garbage sacks, full of marijuana plants. i didn't have to see inside the bags to know, because the smell was very strong. police describe inside what was going on as a very sophisticated operation. sophisticated marijuana grow. that he arrested 11 people, 10 were inside, one person was trying to driveway. -- to drive way he took 10 men and one woman, two pit bulls, they found weapons and more than 1,000 marijuana plants. i asked if these were being grown for medical purposes? they say they don't think so there were no postings suggesting it was a

dispensary. i asked if this is just illegal street crime they feel like they've made a good dent in they say it was more major but can't elaborate. there was a poster in the office at the warehouse it said: hoods, california's most hated, established in 1995. the oakland police was the lead agency, 30 officers involved they've been planning it for a while. when they got here they entered aggressively, buffed down the gate you can see it lying on its side. they buffed through that. then they used -- -- they busted through that then they used flash bang grenades no one was hurt in the operation. there agents out here from the dea. they've wrapped up the scene. they are finished, processing it back at the station. they say this is an ongoing

investigation and more arrests are possible. amy hollyfield, abc7 news in marin county two novato marijuana dispensaries had become the latest targets in a federal crackdown that began last year the green tiger on redwood boulevard shutdown tuesday after prosecutors file papers to seize the property from its landlord. the green door which is next door, but has a different owner remains open but that landlord has been targeted federal officials maintain many pot clubs are not medicinal but part of a large for profit marijuana industry. animals officials in the north bay hope to find the driver of a pick-up truck who dragged a dog down 780 last week who either didn't notice or didn't care. the puppy now named freeway was reunited with its rescuers they saw the dog dangling with from the truck with a rope
