ramos claims he was only the driver. the father and two sons shot and killed while driving home from a family outing. a third son in the car at the time was not injured and testified during the trial saying it was ramos that fired the gun. it was a very emotional scene as the verdict was reads just a short time ago. and mark matthews will join us with a live report. >> another attack at napa state hospital seriously injured a nurse and several other staff members. workers tell us there is a hospital with violent patients and simply too few employees. it's a story only on 7. vic? >> last week a patient here described by staffers as violent and aggressive got into a scuffle with police, last night another incident here. a patient attacked staffers

when he became agitated. those we spoke with, those workers today were too scared to appear on camera for fear of retaliation. they tell us the same thing they've been telling us for years that security is a big problem. attack happened in the early evening in a unit called compound 4, patients committed by their families or court ordered. it's not in forensics area of the hospital where criminally insane are housed in more secure units that. is where most assaults have occurred in the past. administrators released this statement saying only that a napa state hospital nursing employee was injured during an agressive incident. the patient arrested and the staff member treated at the hospital. workers we spoke to say the patient became irritated and fought staff trying to calm them down. we're told that the employee suffered a serious leg injury

which required surgery. several others were injured and workers tell us security is still inadequate to deal with a growing population of violent patients, many are criminally insane. they say there have been some security enhancements but not enough to ensure safety of the staff. some say little changed since the murder of donna gross almost two years ago by patient jess massy. the assaults have continued since the death. patients attacking staff and patients attacking other patients. and we spoke to workers in the unit that told us most, if not all of the night shift workers in that unit tonight called in sick. >> and volunteers and divers looking for missing morgan hill teenager sierra lamar working with renewed optimism,

checking healthy living news researchers behind a new device that could head off paralysis in paishis -- patients with spinal cord injuries thchl story does include graphic images. frank walk was occasional pain two decades after a car accident but now, he's hoping to change lives of patients with spinal cord injuries and perhaps prevent paralysis. >> it turns out spinal cord if you can spare just 10% of the spinal cord, you don't have to spare 50% a little bit, 10%, the spinal cord will rewire, and find that healthy tissue sending signals through the scar. >> the solution is this

years old has been found guilty of three counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder. this stems from the 2008 shooting of anthony bologna, a 48-year-old and two sons, michael bologna 20, and matthew bologna, 16 years old, a surviving son, also in the car was the sole survivor ask identified edwin ramos as the shooter. just minutes ago i spoke with alana bologna, the mother of anthony and the grandmother of michael and matthew. >> god answered our prayers. that is all very to say. he answered our prayers. i miss my son and m z.my grandkids. i'm never going to see them again. matthew, matthew was going to take care of me when i got old.

a man suspected of killing a tennessee mother and

daughter is now at the top of the fbi's 10 most wanted list. agents searching backwoods of mississippi and tennessee for adam mays authorities say he abducted joanne vain and her three daughters, authorities are worried he could kill the youngest girls, aged 12 and 8. >> we believe he could be anywhere in the united states. and we're extremely concerned for the safety of the girls. >> he and his wife have been charged with murder she told authorities motive was to kidnap two younger daughter autos a prison inmate made a strong showing against president obama in the west virginia primary. the texas president nor won nearly 70,000 votes. and by winning more than 15% of the vote he is allowed least one delegate. and he is serving a 17 year
